Especially considering the price of the TC clarity, which I actually see and use a lot in high end broadcasting, that one is a few hundred euros.

Since this article is by Michael Carnes himself; Stratus 3D can actually do .4 if you for example choose an auro 3D format. You can do this on a narrower bus (5.1, I suppose also 7.1 but have not tried) and the .4 appears as available inputs for a new quad input or 4 mono inputs that can be panned to objects for example.
Is there a specific reason you did not do this here?
I personally think 4 discrete top channels sound even bigger for reverb.

My Bose soundlink revolve is actually stereo.
When putting left or right (with the same audio on both sides) out of phase I still hear left and right.
You can't clearly identify where the left and right are coming from, but I still think it's impressive engineering. The perceived low end is also pretty good for such a small battery powered device.

I do love Pro Tools.
However I also think Avid as a company is obviously out of touch and ran by random corporate types that have no love for nor connection with their product.

I thought this was very useful at first, but it's not :) . This setting creates fades at any clip boundary, so also if you create a cut in a longer clip. Or if you use alt tab to find a transient and cut at the transient. So this is only for specific tasks and not, in my opinion, useful as a global setting. Just saying.

Studer is faaaaaar removed from the original Swiss company anyway.
In fact I think only the legacy software and concepts are left.
The R&D people are long gone.

Well, this is more confusion but at least this is confusion I like :) In my account I can now download PT10 and PT11 but my Ilok account thusfar only shows PT12.

I have one, It's inexpensive of course, but the low end is a little woolly on my HD600's.
Also output 1 (the one that also has 1/8") is very woolly sounding, very different sounding from the other two outputs.

Interestingly, I discovered that when I plug my philips lamp in, my airport express internet become about 5 times slower :)
