PWA It's basically a locally stored web page/s using special built-in browser 'service workers' not available to regular web pages. It's a gimmick.

This example is misleading.
The copy is a Deep copy of the ArrayList.
Shallow copy is only applied to the contents (not the Array).
Since the contents are not actually Objects (they are primitives),
you can't prove that the contents are shallow copied by this example.
Author ought to be ashamed.

That's right,
The Copyright Act,
..copyright protection is not available for systems or processes or 'organizing methods' or the like. Section 102(b) says this explicitly, and reads in full:

"In no case does copyright protection for an original work of authorship extend to any idea, procedure, process, system, method of operation, concept, principle, or discovery, regardless of the form in which it is described, explained, illustrated, or embodied in such work."

So this answers Thomas's first moan about whether declaring code is copyrightable.
All the other stuff he goes on about might well have been expelled from between his legs.
Broadway scripts also contain words that are part of the implementation, so is copryright-able.
It's highly dubious that Google would not be so successful if it had not opted for java.
And as most programmers know, API calls are constructed pragmatically, there is very little room for art or innovation. The real sweat and pain is in the implementation code.
