they are scaled exactly as they should be, that is, to create perspective. as in, the TV is very far away as it is small. the cellphones and ipods are falling much closer to the viewer.

Yeah, super-crazy prematurity is awful. The number of weeks of gestation keeps decreasing for how early these babies can survive. Now they say that above 23 weeks can be medically supported (that's 17 weeks early). But people don't realize that with such extreme prematurity come so many severe medical problems.. I saw a 2 yo child in California on my peds rotation who was born at 23 weeks, survived, and had every single prematurity complication in the book... brain hemorrhage with resulting severe developmental delay, lung disease (he was admitted for pneumonia), retinal/eye problems (there is something called 'retinopathy of prematurity'), cardiac defects with multiple surgeries to correct them... It is just sad. I don't think these parents realize how difficult it can be to raise and take care of a premature child.
And there are all the other issues and hypocrisy with playing God.

if it's actually flu, you have a 98% chance it's swine flu.
otherwise, i think my school is doing random testing of college students where 2/3rds of "flu-like" illness is H1N1.
