Don't misconstrue my statements with some blind loyalty to Obama or to liberalism. I believe a TRUE patriot is one who constantly, and analytically questions the decisions of our leaders. There are plenty of the lemmings out there, and there always will be. Whether they're in farm houses in rural Kentucky blindly loyal to conservatism, or celeb-hounds and groupies blindly loyal to liberalism. However, those that do the most for a nation are the ones that can see the bigger picture, and ask the right questions of our leaders when they falter.

I for one, think we'll see a lot more *critics* of Obama in the first hundred days than we will the blind lemming supporters, even of those who cast their ballot for him.

Re: SARAndipity....a fortunate discovery!

Hi Sara,

I appreciate your viewpoint, and understand your concerns. I felt compelled to weigh in from a liberal entrepreneur's mind and hope you'll humor me here in your comments. =)

I feel the one thing that should be said in the wake of your fears is this; what you're witnessing in the United States is not the result of one man, a magic wand or a god-like super hero. Republicans seem to point the finger so often to this "messiah complex" they say Dems and liberals are suffering from, however... It's not that.

It's simply inspiration.

People. Let me say that again, PEOPLE, do amazing things when they are inspired. Any 1 person will never solve the problems our country faces. White, black, yellow, purple, male, female, conservative or liberal, it simply won't happen. In order for this country to turn around it's going to take a greater movement of the entire nation in a single, focused and resolute direction. In order for that to take place, people need to be inspired. They need to have a passion for their country, and they need to be ready to take a leap of faith as they step forward to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

*This is what the inexperienced Obama understood very early on in his campaign for the presidency. He was, and continues to be steadfast in a trying time, as a *beacon* (NOT a god or messiah) of hope. It's not about Obama the man, it's about Obama the concept. Agree or disagree with his stance on issues, he has rallied the WORLD behind him because he represents a better tomorrow rather than a crusty and broken past.

Now, this hope and inspiration must be followed by a nation of people willing, able and determined to push the country forward. The question now becomes, will AMERICANS follow in the words of Ganhdi and "Be the change you want to see in the world"?

It's not about a man, it's about a movement. I wish you the best in being a part of the improvement of our nation in any way you feel fits you.

Cheers!
Daniel

Re: Jamie Martin

Mooch-ass grassy-ass! =)

Re: Jamie Martin

Um...
