Mossberbstien, I was part of the "asian group" in the theatre last night. ; )

Hilarious film!

I thought it was really entertaining and my only negative comment was the quality of the film, but as you said in Q&A.. it was shot with practically no budget and before HD was really affordable. I do not mean how it was shot, the cinematography was quite good considering.

Great job.

We were all impressed with what went into it and how well the fight scenes were choreographed. None of us were offended or thought any of it seemed racist. It was a comedy.

Of course, I am Japanese and not Chinese.. but does that really matter? I think it is unfortunate that this blogger didn't attend last night. None of his responses on here seem to be of any substance.

I am very proud of my family and our culture (most Japanese are) and do not try to perpetuate racism by loudly complaining about anything caucasians do to try and embrace it.. or are genuinely just interested in it. We welcome it, actually.

Anyway, not looking to get into an argument here. Just wanted to let folks know from someone that did see the film. It really is funny!

Re: Slant Eye For The Round Eye: Big Pile Of Shit: Golden Blade III

I was born in Naruto.. that is in Japan, in case you didn't know. My brothers were born in the states. I am also a documentary filmmaker who has produced for National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

I haven't seen this film, but the trailer looks hilarious. I am not offended by comedies about my culture or other Asian cultures. I do find it interesting that many of you have spent so much time discussing your take on whether someone or their film is racist - someone you have never met, and a film you have never seen..

And that some of you have even gone so far as to say filmmaking is about returning your investor's money and distribution, even if it isn't good. Shame on you. Some of us on here are actually artists that have integrity and I applaud Moss and his crew for putting out a spoof for no budget on a crappy camera. (no offense there)

Sounds like you are creating a cult classic. I plan on attending your screening here in L.A. and bringing my "Asian friends".

We will post back if we find it offensive.. and give our own review. And yes, we all work in the film industry here.
