Thanks! We had a good time. The band was so cool. They told us that everyone would be singing along so it was ok if we messed up. The audience actually started singing before I was done with intro so I jumped ahead a couple of chords to catch up. I'm just glad I didn't lock my knees.

Come to think of it, I don't remember a smell. The nearby water was pretty nasty (but holy, so people were washing in it) -- I think that smell might have been overpowering the monkeys.
