It is much appreciated.

Re: Microvision (MVIS) WikiBlog: The Super Bowl Year

I don't think he slipped up about CES. He did slip up when he said " it puts out WVGA which is 848x840" WVGA is actually 848x480...an understandable slip. MVIS has two booths and is said to be showing two different devices. Both, I think, are standalones....one similar to the SHOW showed in Japan and another with onboard memory I believe. Could it be a standalone under the MOTOROLA brand? Didn't Alex say in a CC that the 9 out of 10 companies including cell phone companies wanted a standalone first then embeded? ..

"Darice:I’m a little bit confused when you say that those customers want the accessory product first then the embedded product second, for guys like Motorola that don’t really have an accessory product, wouldn’t they want the embedded product first and doesn’t your new timeline mean that there won’t be a Motorola product until 2010.

Alex: I don’t want to single out anyone in particular. In 9 out of 10 cases, whether it’s cell phone manufacturer, whether it’s consumer electronic OEM, which has a larger portfolio of products which may include cell phones as well as other devices, everyone first is interested in accessory and immediately followed by the embedded. Again, I think the desire is driven by the risk profiles that they expect to incur when they are going directly to embedded without proving something with the accessory. But again, it’s not unanimous there are incidences where there are specific customers interested in the embedded solution first."

.>>>I don't believe the light engine and asics are down to the power requirements (1.5w maximum...1w the best) yet also, so a standalone first could be shown possibly. Sure would be nice.
