I finished Night Circus - it was sad but good at the same time. I checked out 1Q84 on Audible and I bought it for one credit but the book is 46 hours and 50 minutes long!! That's the longest audiobook I've ever purchased (and the price was cheap. It'll probably go up to two credits after a bit). I've never read any Game of Thrones. Someday.

The blurb about the book doesn't begin to do it justice. I will be sad when the book is done. The characters (and I include the circus as a character too) are incredible. The way they interact and speak is alluring and sweet and at times sad. I think I know what's going on but there is a mystery that's unfolding. It seems like it goes by too quickly but then there still seems to be so much more to go. I think she's not put useless filler in the book either (you'll understand when you read it). I'll stop now.

I totally get. I like the idea of the protest - the "common" people having a say but they do come off as whiny and entitled. I reblogged a post from littlemagnolia 5 or so days ago which said something similar. I'm suspecting she got a lot of grief over that as her tumblr is no more. I am very liberal but fellow liberals can be very annoying.

Tumblr is dumb. I missed a few of your posts from last night. I think Tumblr does this thing where if you refresh, there's a lag for when the post appears so if you don't go back again, you miss it. And yes, I recognized Elton John. I think the Gaga backlash is dumb (the intensity of it is dumb).

I want to save up a few extra vacation days, so I'm thinking next year (2012-I'll go before the world ends). I know that's far away but it'll give me time to plan. I'm thinking late March/early April. I need to be firm with myself and just do it. I have the money, it's just giving myself permission to spend it.
