I can empathize with the turbulence. Once I flew every week for a year...one the last few flights, they had people screaming, and even had the flight attendants buckle down. Not good. I stopped flying for quite a while after that. lol No biggie now. I am a born again traveler. ;) So glad you made it safe bro and are enjoying some of that amazing local feral cuisine!

Ah, George Carlin was a funny, funny guy. It's too bad that he became so, less than optimistic? I think it reflects in his words in many many ways. As far as denying whether or not there is a God and whether or not religion is nothing more than a set of controls, well that's up to each and everyone of us to become conscious of and figure that out for ourselves....however....I can't help but wonder if in fact there is an amazing loving presence that does govern everything, somehow...I mean, when I eat food, wild feral foods and my mind opens up, is that not the Creator saying, I love you? Is that not the original intent of such a power? To provide and take care of us and help us, help ourselves to be happy by providing such foods?

Seems shallow of George Carlin to dismiss the beauty of the world by his crankiness, his hurt, his pain, albeit post mortem. But maybe that's it? Maybe what he was really saying was infact a joke. Perhaps he was inviting discussion, because true freedom lies within and no one has power over us in anyway, but that which we give them.

I remember Carl Sagan saying when the Voyager probe went past the outer planets, snapping a photo of earth, that we are nothing more than dust, a little speck against the vastness of space.

To imagine that kind of singularity amidst the vastness of space and then to conjure up the idea that there is no loving governing force is to say that we ourselves need enlightenment, but do not require it.

You know....I was riding my bike today, and well I have this thing for dragonflies, I think they are so cool, like little alien helicopters or something, right, so anyway I always see these blue ones around here in Washington and have occasionally brown ones. Then today, for the first time I spotted that black spotted glider you posted as your first picture. I was so amazed at the time because I've lived here for so long and then to see another species was just one of the best things that happened today. You post became a reminder of that universal beauty that surrounds us and also a casual synchronicity for me. Thanks for the reminder of a wonderful day. I hope your big job goes well and congrats!

Woah. 60 minutes of video is a huge amount of esoteric information. I love it though. I'm just getting a grasp on the whole permaculture paradigm and it seems to be absolutely wonderful. I'm not too sure about taking in boarders...I like my own family in my home. But some huge changes need to be made in the future that is for certain.

Great idea! I've yet to try Ethiopian. Just discovered Korean. So fun trying different cuisines. I agree it is tough to eat even cooked veggies but we still can rebound pretty quickly!

Yea, I'm sick of the trash talk about DW. He's da MAN! I applaud anyone who has a lot of success, especially someone who has inspired so many. I can attest to the veritas within his last book.
