I agree layoffs mean more C-players on the market, however some companies have been forced to let go of even their top performers.

I disagree that it's harder to find them based on a resume. A-Players know they are good and wear their numbers/accomplishments on their sleeve.

Look for resumes that talk about metrics and how they brought change to the organization as opposed to rhyming off their job description. You should be able to tell by someone's resume if they over-achieved in their role or just showed up for work everyday.

No they will not be heading up the Product Management piece. When they are that small I imagine they will have input though.
