Along the same lines, there was an episode of the Developer Tea podcast a couple months ago that talked about web software always being a "draft," that we are not a printing press that creates flawlessly identical copies (https://developertea.com/ep.... I have been born again through the waters of baptism.

Thank you for your response!
Love, da Sista

Re: http://undercovernun.net/post/14310507722

I apologize; I did not mean to imply that Theology of the Body is core doctrine for Roman Catholics. I intended only to describe Anglican theology and how it came to be the big messy tent that it is.

Thank you for stopping by!

Re: http://undercovernun.net/post/14356553598

Actually, I am very glad we have Mr. Obama as President. Many on the left are disappointed in what he's managed to do; the quote (with its links) was shared to point this out. I'm not sure where I fall; some days I'm proud and happy with what President Obama has gotten done, and other days I'm a bit disappointed. Overall, I'm pretty happy. It is always so much easier to be frustrated and angry, though, isn't it?

Re: http://outofcontextscience.com/post/5257412876

Mister Sister says, "Well, then she should stop standing right behind sick people!"

Re: http://contrararian.tumblr.com/post/5222281515

Howdy! I understand your point about atheism... mostly, I wanted to hammer it home that Christians vs. Unbelievers is a false dichotomy, and even Believers vs. Unbelievers is still dangerous ground.

I've seen that "us vs. them" stuff in several places recently. Someone tweeted "What does it say to you when a church plans to 'reach out to the LGBTQ community'?" Well, it says to me that this church defines itself as Not Them... and that doesn't attract people to worship with you.

Thank you for the reblog, and for the compliments! *blush*

Re: After 2 Hours of Breaking News Coverage, WAVY Misses Money Shot of Black Bear - TVSpy

"Ratings showed us viewers cared more about the bear than the government shutting down."

Rather than being a sad commentary on viewers, perhaps this demonstrates that sometimes there's just too much Bad Stuff for people to handle. In a region with heavy ties to the military, the impending shutdown promised to be incredibly painful. When this happens, it can be a great relief to spend a few hours caring about something else. The bear story had everything: a cute animal, an engaging story, and even educational content.

Don't demean people for caring about something outside themselves, especially in times of great stress. Rather, appreciate that for a few hours, a whole bunch of folks were able to escape self-centeredness and find joy in a sweet story that had a happy ending.

Re: http://silas216.tumblr.com/post/4529113553

I adore my HP RPN calculator! No, it doesn't get every detail right. But the basic ideas are well-expressed, especially for very young children.
