I think it's the way the community is when it comes to audio posts. Likes and reblogs don't mean plays. I've noticed I'll get likes and reblogs even if the amount of time that it's been posted, length of the track and the reaction don't match up. But I'm also curious too if the data is correct and being tracked accurately.

It takes 3-5 seconds for someone to react to a picture, while a audio post takes the length of the track. Tumblr is just so visual now, it's nothing but photos and animated gifs. Not that it's a bad thing but I/we are just so inundated with them. So I wouldn't be surprised if audio posts get lost in the consistent flood of visual stimulants.

I pose the question today to people and ask how many of them actually hit play.
