I was playing with a cr48 and found it to be in an odd position between a desktop/laptop (my Macbook Pro) and iPad.

I think the traditional desktops and laptops form factor are here to stay for a long time and with new formats like tablets carving out a growing niche for casual and portable use, does a machine like cr48 which is basically a browser with the laptop form factor have a sizable market?

How's how to make SimplyTweet load much faster. It loads in about 5 seconds (I'm running the upcoming v2.0, which is slightly faster, but it shouldn't be much slower than that) - http://motionobj.com/blog/h...

Basically:

1. Go to the Settings Application (outside of SimplyTweet), choose SimplyTweet.
2. Under "Timelines to Load Automatically", turn ON Mentions and Direct Messages. (Yes, you got that right, turn them ON).
3. Start SimplyTweet
4. Go to the Settings Application again (outside of SimplyTweet), choose SimplyTweet.
5. Under "Timelines to Load Automatically", turn OFF Mentions and Direct Messages.
6. Start SimplyTweet again, and it should load only the Friends timeline.

Here's how to make SimplyTweet load *much* faster. For my iPhone running on 3G, it takes about 5 sec (it's running 2.0 which is faster, but 1.7 should not be much slower than that) - http://motionobj.com/blog/h....
