ha! point taken. i suppose what i really meant is that he (and the brainfeeder collective) form part of a fairly new, still-developing niche of music. as opposed to something that has already seen a possible final peak. which is to say i think flying lotus probably has his best work ahead of him

cool. i obviously had some mixed feelings and am unfortunately the target audience so there's that to consider, but it'll take you like half an hour and grant you an informed opinion of an author who won't go away anytime soon, so there's really no reason not to.

also, full disclosure to everyone: i got a free review copy of this book and have not read anything else by tao lin.

nice: sounds like their typically pyrotechnic shit. i understand they got signed after a 1990 show in which they nearly burned down the venue. still regret missing their new year's eve concert with wilco a few years back.
