Agree that these work packs are all more of the same and do not offer anything that's really, really different from the other. Let's see what the other categories' winners bring. I got an Osprey Pixel myself, but getting increasingly frustrated by the flap. Been eyeing GoRuck, but still too tactical for work perhaps, Tom Bihn is probably the best if you want some style and lots of function.

Re: Best Work Backpack Results :: Carry Awards IV

I haven't used or seen any of these in the flesh myself, but the Aer Fit Pack and Porter Daypack seem pretty good to me. Which ones would you pick and recommend?

Re: (CW5) First Canon EOS M3 Image Leaked (more dials, bigger grip, looks pro) – Update

Where did the Canon logo go on the black version?

Re: Zik vs. Zik 2.0

Got a reply from Parrot: Unfortunately, you can't use your Parrot Zik 1 case with the Parrot Zik 2 headphones, it is not at all the same dimensions.

Re: Zik vs. Zik 2.0

Will the Zik 2.0 fit the 1.0 hard case?

Re: Fuji Trolls DSLR Users with Clever ‘Evolution of the Photographer’ Illustration

Yeah, like Fuji never made DSLRs for DSLR users.

Re: Phlearn Interviews Adrian Sommeling

Great interview, thanks Phlearn! But hey, when I was a student, no way I could afford a Leica either :) It would be nice if digital backs were available for film cameras (like the date backs before) to actually add value to them.

Re: So You Wanna Do HDR? I've been listening to U2 since I was young, so I was introduced to his photography pretty early on in life. I love his raw, grimy B&W style.

Re: Pro Camera Gear on a Student Budget

You should have bought a Leica, they keep their value quite well :)

We already knew that the real investment is in lenses, but you have some good tips in there like selling items individually and not including accessories.

What about re-investing in film? Bodies such as the Canon EOS 1v, or EOS 3, Nikon FM3a, Olympus OM4Ti etc. Since film is 'gone', technological advances won't hurt their value as much as, say, a Panasonic G1. What do you think?

Re: How to choose a MacBook Pro – which Mac should you buy?

Well written, very informative post! Clean but not overly simple. It has more of a 'website' feel to it now rather than just a 'blog' feel. I didn't get any errors/warnings anymore either.

Congrats!

Re: SpyderCUBE White Balance Tool - A Must Have Gadget

I agree with the other comments, great review on how the Spydercube can be used both in post-processing and setting custom white balance. I'm interested in this now, because often in post-processing I still find it difficult to correct quickly; is that color cast blue or more greenish or somehwere in between!? Thanks again for this review!

Re: Major overhaul coming: Life 2.0

Brandon will go home to Michigan, designing cars and making loads of cash.

Re: Obama inauguration: Words of history … crafted by 27-year-old in Starbucks (Guardian)

Dead link?

Re: Photos from Michigan (not mine). It reminds me of preparing for my literature interviews in high school, when we just read the summaries of some great book. Yeah, we were missing out on great content, groupthink was all over the place.

Isn't blogging becoming like that in a sense? There's just so much content out there, so we skip straight to the summaries, and ignoring possibly useful, insightful, out-of-the-ordinary gems of blog posts and writers?

Re: The wagon - RussellBeattie.com

Cool, glad to see you back blogging! There's a copy-paste function for photos to blogs, I didn't see any licensing mentioned along?

Wasn't Zooomr also working on some microstock marketplace thing? Something like this may work for Flickr to help photographers concerned about their photos ending up somewhere without attribution and/or revenue share.
