I also read your interview about how your diet evolved and I wanted to comment there that your youth was so similar to mine - drinking and smoking. I also follow a LFRV diet these days and am thriving.

Interestingly enough, I am also looking to become an entrepeneur... but there is a lot of fear and hesitation. Thank you for setting a great example!

Re: Cookie Dough Vegan Ice Cream {Raw}

That looks really wonderful! You can sometimes find them in the supermarket, but then they're really expensive and of course, they don't last long. The best way to get figs here is to have a tree or know someone with a tree. I would love a fig tree, but our garden is not that big and it needs some space.

Re: When Is A Fruit Not A Fruit? As much as I would have liked Ghana to have gone through, they only have themselves to blame. They were given two subsequent chances - the penalty kick itself and the penalty shoot-out. Suarez did what he had to do in the situation. He's not a villain for doing what he did, but he is an idiot for boasting about it. So, dislike him if you must, but don't blame Ghana's elimination from the tournament on him.

Re: 3-Day Cleanse Guide Scheduled to Release-Get Your Copy

What a great idea!

Re: Juicing The Garden

I like the idea of gardening, but I don't like gardening itself. Go figure. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I can't kneel or bend properly because of my size. Anyway, whatever is left in the garden at this stage is being systematically demolished by a very determined puppy...

Re: Wheatgrass: The King Of Alkaline Foods

I really didn't know that wheat grass juice had an anti-inflammatory effect. My food never looks that presentable and I'm okay with that. I would eat that in a heartbeat though!

Re: Wheatgrass: The King Of Alkaline Foods

Is this competition USA only?

I must say, I also struggle with wheat grass juice, but have been drinking powdered organic barley grass juice for a few years. Blueberries are a luxury item here in South Africa. There are very few commercial growers and most of what they grow end up in muffins and other processed items. A tiny percentage of blueberries end up in high end supermarkets where you pay the earth for them... Having said that, I buy them from time to time. I just wish I could buy them often and in large quantities.

I am simply going to have to plant some blueberry bushes.

Re: Delicious Vacationing

Glad you're enjoying your vacation! I have noticed that when I eat sugar, my immune system gets compromised, so that is another reason to avoid it at all costs. When I do feel something coming on (like I did yesterday), I drink a concoction of boiled water, honey, ginger, cinnamon, sage, turmeric and lemon. It really works! I am totally fine today.

I am going to look out for these oils though...
