I have Wordfence installed and it blocked those attacks. I sometimes get 100s of emails about a blocked IPs due to failed logins. 100s of attacks during a few minutes.

Klein almost touched an important point but missed it - snippets.

The video he writes about was embeded in a text piece that also had an animated gif map. What was shared and watched was one snippet, the video.

I think that future feeds will not only be of full articles but also of snippets. Imagine a feed of videos, pull quotes, factoids, images etc.

The semantic web will be truly open. I would like to have an easier way for attaching metadata to blog posts. Maybe using an NLP (Natural Language Processing) engine for intelligent suggestions. The semantic web is waiting to happen and it's not really solved yet.

Today I have thought about it and came to a new and obvious conclusion. It's not about feminism or men or women or servers. It's about anger. People are very angry. The internet gives them a channel to express and amplify their anger. We, as a society should learn how to deal with this anger. We should acknowledge the anger and then discuss the content.

Reading your previous post, I wondered. Looked up the HDMI standard on
Wikipedia. The standard have a way for a device to tell the connected device
how it is called - Device OSD Name. The input HDMI sockets should not be named
but numbered. The receiver should know which is which and display the
names to the user.

I remember when in 1996 ICQ was sold to AOL for 400 million $. What was sold were users in a silo. It was a bad example to future VC's.

Facebook is good for knowing what my friends think about the news. Since I want to read about todays news, I sort my feed by "most recent" and not by "top stories".

Facebook keeps reminding me to switch back it's nice it still allow me a choice.

I am an Israeli living in Israel. In the last few days I see a new pattern emerging here, which is "sacrifice". Israelis are more willing to sacrifice Palestinians but are also willing to sacrifice their own soldiers. It's as if the sanctity of life itself takes a lower priority. I really don't like it.
