LeWeb London could influence the development of many large websites in Iceland, were I to go.

I would love sharing what I learn there with both my colleagues at Hugsmidjan (a web design agency) and our clients. I see this as an excellent opportunity to further the development of web design in Iceland.

My beloved London is another, more personal reason I want to go. I started my web career in London during the rise of lastminute.com, before the bubble burst...it's been a while... Now, back at home in Iceland after a detour doing web and mobile work for large media companies in the US, I'm in a position where I can share my experience / experiences with the great group of people I work with as well as our blog readers and clients.

I would love to go to LeWeb and beef up on current and future trends in web, social and sharing.

A nice bourbon and a nice chat. You live in the same city as a good friend of mine also so I imagine I'd get a bourbon into him too. I think you too would get on really well and we'd have a fun evening. Great conversation with awesome people.

Funny thing is that my man studied and used to work as a lighting designer and I studied arts and do design = additive and subtractive color mixing

I am much the same with this Tumblr blog: I don't generally write much or post much publicly that is directly created by me. But I did feel what some of what Jake talks about when I was the most active on Twitter. There you are talking directly to the world...or whomever that might be bothered to listen...and I definitely felt a portion of my daily life thought process taken up by thoughts of my 'audience'.

I don't think he's talking about exactly personal posts though, but how as an artist, it's easy to fall into the trap of creating your work not exactly just for yourself, but for your audience.

In any case I would myself like to exist in the ideal headspace Jake speaks of. I think it will take a certain physical, emotional, professional and financial maturity to get to that place. I'm getting there, but not quite there yet. I do look forward to that day.

Local commercials can really stink, but this one really raises the bar.
The whole black/white shtick is only highlighting race as an issue instead of the intended opposite. I guess those guys aren't really professionals, huh?
