To begin writing your factual descriptions, take a rough sheet and in the centre of it write your topic. Now draw a line coming out from that centre portion and write something you know about the topic. At this stage, do not worry if something adds value to your factual description or about the word limit. Simple, write down what all comes to your mind.

After this select the ones which add value as well can be clubbed to come under the prescribed word limit and then finally start writing your factual description.

Since you had a topic about meeting a person in a religious shrine, you may think of points like
- his persona, calmness
- way he sees things
- way he handles stress and strain of life
- his religious interests
- his kindliness and helpful nature towards poor, needy and also towards stray animals

There is no format at all for factual descriptions. All you need to think about is the content. Simple think of a heading, place it in the centre of page and follow it up with your content.

As for writing about fire, you can think of points like how useful it has been to humans, it helps us make food, helps us give warmth, also you can write about it being one of the 5 essential elements needed for life (panchatatva

I am afraid but no. Do not confuse witht he HS rank as being used in HS quota, it's not. AIR is used everywhere.

AIEEE provides the following four ranks:

AIR : This is the actual ranking used in your counseling. It shows your actual standing in the examination. You can forget all other ranks below, they all are for your info and nothing else.

AIR category rank : This rank you got in your reserved category, generally is lower than the AIR.

HS Rank: This is again for your information as to tell you where you stand in your home state ie the place from there you did your 12th.

HS category rank: Again, another statistical figure which tells you your position in the state with the filter narrowed down to the category you belong to.

We check with the last year stats and found out that NIT Allahabad (All Courses) ended up at 15000 AIR max.

Don't lose hope and do fill your choices as every year there is a different trend prevailing. Even if the chances are bleak, doesn't mean you don't stand a chance. Make sure you give other examinations and make a solid backup plan.

You can try pvt. colleges which take AIEEE scores. There'll be scores of advertisements in the newspapers so you can visit them and see if it suits your needs.

If you belong to the reserved category, you might have a go at DTU, NSIT or some NITs but the chances are still minute. You can try pvt. colleges which take AIEEE scores.

Sorry to say but I am afraid none. There maybe slight chances if you belong to the reserved categories as last year students getting around 180,000 were admitted to DTU in the last round of counselling (He was a Delhi student).

Sorry to say but the chances are very bleak. At most, NITs for General category go till 50,000 Approx.

Please provide your All India Rank as that is the only rank used for counselling in AIEEE.

Do not confuse the HS quota means to have your home state rank considered, it's the AIR only.

Going by CCB 2010, you might get Metallurgical Engineering & Material Science Engineering but in 2011, there was a tough situation with almost all streams not even touching the 20,000 mark for MANIT BHOPAL.

But, these are just indicative and each year has a different trend, don't lose hope and make your call carefully. The rank you've definitely has a strong chance as you are almost on the borderline.

Home state ranking is nothing but a figure to show you where you stand in your state. That is just for the sake of information to students and the actual counselling is done only using the AIR.

Now, Home state quota means that students applying to a local NIT or similar institution having a HS quota get a slight relaxation in their AIR, ie, there are a set of seats reserved for them.

In the stats which you posted, for HOME STATE quota, that is "state mnit jaipurInformation Technology5222-6316"

The ranks are NOT home state ranks but AIR only, home state quota means that there will be a slight relaxation in the AIR as you can see, for others(students from other states) AIR starts at 2870 and ends at 5204 but for home state students, it (AIR only, not the Home state rank) starts from 5222 to 6316.

Here are some value points which can be helpful in your factual description:

– It's a place of worship for monks</li></ul>
– Monasteries were first built to help wandering monks stay at a fixed place during rainy season ( and not move around affecting the growth of plant) and also to provide them with a shelter to meditate peacefully
– Also, feeding the wandering monks was considered to be good, so many rich people came forward to build the monasteries.
– It is also called Vihara
– At several places, monks stay in monasteries year long and not just in the rainy season.
– It also has schools to teach religious text and practices. Nalanda was one of the most prominent institutes for Buddhist learning.

CCE has been implemented to fight with the parental and peer pressure surrounding marks. Grading system brings a whole bunch of students together so that they don't feel they've under performed and not lose faith in themselves.

You cannot conclude marks in CCE, also this is exempted from RTI and CBSE is allowed not to reveal marks.

No, your home state is the place from where you finished your 12th.

Incase, you are a student of National Open School, state of eligibility will be decided based on the state where the final exam center was located.
