It feels great to be able to disagree with you Brian!

We were in the Joomla support business from the start (started back in the Mambo days actually) and we have supported big corporate clients (like stockquoted multinationals), mid sized companies, starters and Joomla users who couldn't find the 'Any'-key on a keyboard. We handled thousends user requests over the years.

Users that contacted us for support often didn't have the knowledge or time to analyze an issue and fix things.

In some events they don't know, because nobody told them in the first place. It's always fascinating to learn from a client that he simply does not know he has been using Joomla for years. Sometimes the even never heard of the Joomla project or 'brand'. They never had a look at the Joomla Extensions Directory. "The guys that built our web site never showed all this...". We see this every week!

the main focus for web developers is to develop. Get a project done, get into a new project, do all the stuff that they do best. Support can become troublesome when a client calls you with a typical end user question, when you are right in the middle of an exciting and new project.

That's where we come in. We know users aren't lying. The core of what we do is to translate the user request, find the right source for the answer (like: using the knowledge that's available in our staff, get a third party involved or whatever is needed to solve the issue), get the work done and deliver an answer or solution.

And yes, sometimes it is just a matter of giving some attention. Like a doctor who listens to a healthy patient. It's only human...

Thanks for your analysis and for sharing your views on your preferred option for Joomla releases. I think the first question that has to be answered is: "Is Joomla a Project or a Product?"

Joomla clearly started as a Project. Would you agree on the statement that in the real world users think of Joomla as a Product though?

As a Project you may release whenever it suits the Community best. As a Product you need to meet the customers requirments on releases and keep a close eye on how a release schedule would impact their ROI.

BTW: I agree on your statement that for many website owners the A + Z + B +D + C approach might be complicated. We'll be happy to help! </shamless>

Next to linking a shop article directly from a content item, you may need CMS features for 'regular' content like a blog or a news section.

Woopra is a great tool for real time analytics. One of the things to check when using Woopra is the load time of your pages, since it may drop considerably every now and then. When testing this wonderfull solution you might want to compare it's features with www.getclicky.com. Here you'll be able to see real time analytics online instead of using a desktop client. Test getclicky.com also, since it may impact the load time of your pages.

Good to know that there is no performance degradation at this stage and we will most certainly enable Woopra on sites again to test (and use) this great tool again. It's a great tool to learn what is happening with the visitors on your site in real time. Thumbs up for Woopra!

Thanks for sharing! Personally I am not a member of your target audience, but I do see what you are aiming for. I especially like the navigation and how you use K2.

Here's some general feedback:
1. Maybe you should consider to change the puppet in Yootheme's login module and use an illustration of a cook?
2. Was there any specific reason for you why you did not choose to use CommunityBuilder or JomSocial and start to build a community for parents?
3. Wouldn't it be great to tweet your new recipes automatically and notify your audience through twitter as well?

It's a great example of how Joomla can be used for your niche and it will inspire others to create and launch new concepts!
