Too quick...I will look into this at work...carefully since it will have to come up in natural conversations. Like I said, i am only interested because I spent that 250 for an applecare and do not want it to be another time I got talked into something stooopid. Discussing stuff like this at work is problematical though.

Hmmm, thanks for the response I was thinking about hairspray - we used that years ago in some equipment we installed...and now that I think of it there are masks used by photographers that leave no residue...I will check this out and post later.

Can't you just mask and coat the sticker with something non-absorbant? I am just a guest that stopped in bc I am getting mad about the damn ads like Netflix that show up before I turn my browser on! But then I saw this and since I have 21/2 years left on my applecare $$$ I am concerned...Sorry. This is not an answer.
