Thats a dope mashup right there.

Re: Interview: How Timothy Sykes Made Two Million From His Dorm Room

Awesome interview guys. Love his style. Stocks, investing and all that is not my cup of tea. Learning from people who have a similar style always help the learning curve though. It's tough for me to learn about money from the stiff-suit type, or the old age of money (the Trumps, Rich Dad).

I like seeing people from my gen do great things like this. Not so much about the $2 million thing (that's nice), but to see perspectives on money - like Adam at Man vs Debt and Ramit over at iWillTeachYouToBeRich. They really hit the points that mean something to me.

Looking forward to learning more about Tim and what he is up to.

Re: Fashion Industry Leads in Millennial Marketing

Not to mention that the fashion industry has gone celebrity crazy over the last few years. You either have celebs creating extended lines or creating their own brands.

Think Kanye West and Louis Vuitton.
Or Justin Timberlake and his William Rast.

Re: Perhaps The Preamble Should Read: We, The Robots. Thought that was pretty sweet.

This is much, much more bodacious.

About the post - yea, we do follow the crowd to fit in, to be accepted. It's what many of us actually do want. It's those that want to create their own path that are seen as outcasts by those trying to fit in. Shit, I've done it. I still do at times, no lie.

What we need to remember is that the people we surround ourselves with 100% play a part in who we are and what we become. I bet the hula-hoop girl has some awesome company that she surrounds herself with. I'd be willing to down some cold ones with her.

Keep rocking homeslice.

Re: Idea Feasibility: Results, Realities and Expert Opinions

Super awesome post man. I still think you have a good "core" product with backup informer. Even if you just use it as a lead magnet or a low priced item. Looking forward to seeing everything come to fruition.

Re: Tila Tequila Quits Hollywood, Takes on the Boardroom

Hey guys,

Just read a lot of the comments, interesting bunch. Here's my two cents. Tila is smart, much like Paris is smart and the Kardashians. I had a chance to play a show with here in LA a few years back. Granted her music isn't the best, but here's the deal. At $20 a ticket, filling a room with 750-1,000 people - that's good money. Then turning around and getting half the crowd to spend $20 on a t-shirt. That's good business.

The reality is that she capitalized on materialistic things - looks, celebrity, music and the internet.

The issue that I have is her talking about charities and things of that nature if (and that's a big IF) they are not true. I know many celebrities that I consult for who are on boards of nonprofits that choose to not have their name attached. Doesn't mean that they don't contribute, it means that they don't want their celebrity to be a reason people give or get involved. Again, Tila may just be crazy, but still.

Lastly, not all Under 30 CEO's are going to make money with a startup tech company. Some are going to be movie stars. Some are going to be rock stars. Some are going to save the world and some might do some things on the borderline. Some are going to be porn stars. Does anyone questions that Jenna Jameson is not a smart business person? If you only showcase flashy tech people, then you are doing a disservice to the thousands of other professions and companies that Gen-Y is going to be a part of.

Re: 100 Social Media Resources for Musicians

@Josh - thanks for dropping by and downloading the guide.
