Argument Dismissal 101. Cute. Have you considered racism or misogyny? Your skills are useful in those situations, too.

Buried in your childlike hypocrisy(feebly lecturing about condescension while engaging in textbook version of it) is the important detail here: the combination of what we do and don't know about the game defeats all your non-reasoning about the gamepad, both as it pertains to this game and generally.

Look. You didn't have to start barfing things into a comment system where you should expect people to react, but you did. You don't like the way I argue. I don't like the way you argue. The difference is I address your arguments. You put little to any effort in there, and ultimately cower behind labeling me the individual and some cutesy stuff about walking away so that I know how little(read: how obviously much) this is bothering you.

Oh yawn. I just remembered... something.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

I just knew you'd cite some other game with an entirely different design which clearly changes the way these situations are evaluated. Yet, I had some shred of hope you'd do better. Bummer.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

I would ask how you feel this is relevant to the discussion about an entirely separate game, but you don't seem responsive to reasoning.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

I thought it was obvious that I was prodding you for reasoning which could be expected to appeal to strangers in general, not your arbitrary personal preferences. Also, gameplay is effectively suspended when your attention is. It's irrelevant to your non-argument whether or not the game is "technically" paused or not.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

Why do you assume it's better as a rule to leave the game "unpaused" for that information? Why do you assume it's better for this game?

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

If anybody notices this, I'd love to know why everyone is downvoting this. More specifically, I'd love to know if those who did understood it was a joke. If you did and don't care for it, that's fine, but I'm concerned some of the local morons here are downvoting just because they saw "Nintendo is doomed" and are incapable of the level of critical thinking needed to understand sarcasm. Thaaaanks!

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

Humor is hard, huh, guys. :-\

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

This should be obvious, but thinking about context and nuance is hard. Where is your consideration for gameplay and design and whether or not it actually benefits those things? Where is your consideration for the fact that the system supports a wide variety of inputs and is clearly not meant to assume an impressive gamepad experience as a rule?

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

You... don't know what reason is.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

Using a design option to the fullest can mean not using it... yeknow... because design.

Re: DKC: Tropical Freeze does not utilize the GamePad screen

This adds no value to the discussion. It doesn't make sense to mirror games for no reason. I've been investigating these issues around --enable-pthread recently as I *just* became aware of their significance.. and I'm surprised, frankly.. there seem to be a lot of people that knew this, yet a lot of people who still don't and who still run into tutorials like the popular Hivelogic one which recommends you use --enable-pthread.

Re: Founders Anonymous » What NYC really needs: A support group for founders

Cool, thanks for the reply.

Re: Founders Anonymous » What NYC really needs: A support group for founders

Hey Dorothy,

That sounds like a lot of fun, but a weekday morning rules out a certain crowd of people including myself. Is your group exclusively interested in people who are already founders and/or have some ability to make their own schedule like that?

Seems like weekend brunch would be a more obvious choice for something like this that would be more accessible, but I understand if you have your reasons for choosing otherwise. I'm just curious about the event but currently cannot even consider it.

Re: git ready » what git is not

It's fine of course that you choose to focus on the positive here, but it's interesting that your reply seems to imply that learning about Git's shortcomings would not fall under the umbrella of "helping others learn about Git."

Just thought I would voice my reaction to your choice of words because I think there could be a lot more honesty out there. Knowing where a tool will fall short before you run into a problem is just as useful as knowing why it's great at solving certain problems.

Anyway, nice looking site.. don't mean to imply that you're doing a poor job or anything..

Re: git ready » what git is not

Hmm, interesting use of language. I was expecting this to be an honest appraisal of Git's shortcomings. I am not not disappointed.

Re: 10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Will Ruin Society

You lost me at "I find that offensive." Why should he, I or anyone give a shit if you're offended? Everybody gets offended sooner or later, and if you prod somebody hard enough, you're bound to find some ridiculous triggers.

Being offended is virtually meaningless.

Just laugh at such a ridiculous comment and move on. If we want to do something about these klaxons what bellow irrational thought, why don't we just cut the crap and act according to reality: they are desparate anachronisms clutching to what shred of the timeline they have left. Treat them as such.
