Not sure why Adobe killed #include in CS4. Security issue perhaps? But, this one does work:

$.evalFile (myPath);

eval(thisComp.name);

I'm planning a follow-up tutorial on this.

Tutorials take a long time to plan and record. Not every item you see
on this downloads page is a tutorial. Free downloads are projects for
you to use and explore, but are not tutorials.

That was stop motion done at (I believe) Hornet by some fancy director
guy who's name I can't remember. But, yes, all stop motion sent to me
as a QuickTime.

Looks like you need an extra parenthesis:

No problem. I'm planning a two-part part 2 of this tutorial very soon (if that makes sense). Lower third design, and using cross platform enabled external documents, with a tip of the hat to Mr Alavarez.

I'm seeing a Play/Pause/Stop/etc set of controls on the bottom for this. Make sure you've expanded the window out as much as you can.

Expressions only work in properties, so naming comps isn't an option. That would have to be a scripting solution, which I must admit I've not done a whole lot of.

AE projects are cross platform. Mac or Windows will not matter, they
will open fine on either platform.

I've tried the AE application folder and the same directory as the AEP, neither of which work for me. The path always seems to be an absolute path. However, Lloyd Alvarez has provided a great cross platform solution using an OS check that I was unaware of:

Dude!!!! This rocks.

I can't find much info on how the helper object "$" works in
Javascript. Do you have any reference for that? I'd like to re-record
this with updates.

Still gets a "folder not found" error. Any time I try backslashes for the path, it doesn't seem to work. Seems to be a Mac limitation.

Doesn't seem to work for me. I can't see any reference to a "C: drive" on the Mac working. This is why I am disappointed that UNC doesn't work.
