I keep thinking of how I felt all the way up to mid afternoon on November 8th. So hopeful and optimism and the feeling that our country was full of good and righteous people. I hope to feel that way again someday.

I'm intrigued by the iron fish.
I had very good luck with acupuncture re: swollen feet, and other pregnancy ailments in general. It was covered by my insurance though, so I wasn't out anything by giving it a try.
I had compression maternity tights that worked very well insofar as being less swollen at the end of the day but were IMPOSSIBLE to put on, and I'd have to have a little wrestle with myself in order to pee, and I had to pee all the time, so....I'm not sure if I'm recommending them or not, I guess.
I think by the end of your pregnancy you get a gold star for just arriving at work, wearing clothes. I felt like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Cherish!

I think that stuffed animals are EXTRA soothing gifts in a hospital setting. I'm not even into stuffed animals, like at all, but when I have been surgered, somehow they've just made all the difference.

At my first prenatal appointment they asked me how much I drink when not pregnant, and I said, maybe 3-4 drinks per week, and then I got an EXTENSIVE lecture about giving my baby fetal alcohol syndrome. Even though the question was how much do I drink when I'm NOT pregnant.

The most aggravating reason (to me) is the, "I don't need to vaccinate because I breastfeed."

Yes, so did ALL HUMANS until the invention of formula. Those breastfed humans died of diseases that we can now prevent through vaccination.
I'm slightly more sympathetic to the mistrust-of-government folks, although....still not sympathetic. But at least I can follow the thread of their logic.
