This is something they should change if they are to survive the Indian market.

Re: Is Uber Looking To Enter India?

I am surprised that Meru Cabs is not mentioned here.

Re: This is what Shopclues founder thinks about Amazon entry in India and how he can still compete

I differ on Sandeep's view that it is too early for a ChannelAdvisor like service in India. In fact I think there is a dire need for it.

There are a number of online marketplaces in India now such as eBay, Amazon, Snapdeal, Shopclues, Tradus, Flipkart, etc and the list goes on. For a seller who is selling on two or more of these sites, a ChannelAdvisor like site would be quite helpful. At Browntape we are trying to offer such a service for Indian sellers.

Re: Info Edge Backed Mydala To Launch International Operations

Thanks for the story.
200 million users sounds dubious, there aren't enough internet users for it to happen. The more popular it is amongst users, more it means that it is being liked and is useful for them.

This could be unfair to people who are only a concept. This is BIG!

The software makes iPhone the most desirable mobile device. Apart from being a phone, a music player, a movie player, a browser, a games console and a navigation system, it can be anything you can think of and you don't need to be an MIT graduate to build it. No other mobile device is capable of this feat (unless you consider laptop a mobile device).

Re: The problem with Web Mission

Ryan, you may like a post by David Heinemeier Hanson on overratedness (if there is such a word) of Silicon Valley:

http://www.37signals.com/sv...

Re: Gmail+April+Fools+Not+Very+Funny.+On+the+Upside%2C+They+Started+A+Wikipedia%26nbsp%3BWar

For April fool, Google's orkut also changed their logo to 'yogurt' which can only be seen one you log into it.

Screenshot:
http://wastedmonkeys.files....

Re: Facebook Turns 1,500 Users Into Spanish Translation Slaves

@8: Prashant

I was about to say the same, have known Meebo to take the same approach earlier.

Thanks for the news though, Mike.

Re: Fake Apple Keynote "Leaked" on Wikipedia

I got an newsletter type email from Apple yesterday stating that Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac is available now to preorder. Moreover, it would require a good infrastructure for the bandwidth requirements such as either wireless hotspots or 3G, neither of which are prevalent at this time in India. This makes India not such an obvious market to release the product in, suggesting that it is just a wild speculation. I could be wrong.
