He's saying that things were crappy from 78-82. Reagan made changes that started having an effect in 82. That's all.

They've been doing hardware version numbers on the iPhone the whole time. "3G" isn't just a telecom standard. It's a version number. Then "3GS". A new version number. The "4S" was all but expected, except from those that couldn't accept that the 5 wasn't coming.

Any reason to go Lucene (.Net or otherwise) instead of Sphinx? We've been using Sphinx happily for a couple of years, just curious about the deciding factors.

What are you planning to do with that anchor? If you're just going to add it to another element, you can do:

$("#otherelement").after("<a href='http://google.com'>Google</a>");

edit -- please note that there is an actual link in that .after(), but it's being converted automatically

The idea being that you don't typically just create a url, without doing something with it.

For those of us that are 'uninformed', how can one legitimately tell the output resolution that something is being displayed at? For example, my wife and I recently purchased a Samsung HL-R6167W Television, and this past weekend purchased a Samsung DVD-HD860 DVD player.

We've hooked up component cables, but neither one of us can 'really' tell a difference between the display. At least if I saw something that said 'TV outputting at 1080i', or something like that, I'd feel better...

Yes. It turns out that ActiveSync wanted the *extranet* address to OWA, but without the full path to OWA. For example, if your OWA server is at https://owa.dp.cx/owa, then the address the PDA wants is https://owa.dp.cx/.
