Seeing your coments now and below I have come to the realization that you are very young. In your eyes our only enemy EVER has been Al Qaida or Iraq right? If you would like to live in a country that doesn't have a Navy I'm sure there are plenty out there. They spend that much so you can run your mouth off in here about stuff that you know nothing about. Son, you should be thanking the Navy for taking your money (or your father's money if you don't work yet) and spending it wisely.

So Al Qaida is our only enemy or can be our only enemy in the future? Do you know about these things in other parts of the world called countries?

Great post. My favorite part is where you compared a guy CHOSING to be in construction and swinging a hammer to someone CHOOSING to get shot at. Classic. Like I said, great post man. You forgot to compare military to CHOOSING to be a teacher, or CHOOSING to sweep a floor. Dude wasn't asking you for anything in return other then to buy war bonds. :) I didn't know they still sold war bonds but either way.
