One of my big 'Ew' moments was finding out what an inconsiderate douche bag Jason is. He caused Christmas' accident which broke her foot and after notifying PROD, he just disappeared. Didn't help her into the house, offered no consolation, didn't greet her when she returned from the doctor or the MRI, offered no words of encouragement and was 'happy' to vote to evict her. Chickenshit.

Sometimes I get the sense that when a show they love turns out to be successful, they feel the need to turn on it and start nitpicking it to death. If that doesn't kill it, AV Club just decides to no longer review it.

It's been a few years but it was very similar to ours. They even had one comp that was duplicated by the US version the next season. If I remember correctly, they had two sports champions that acted as captains for each tribe. They competed in all team challenges, lived with their tribe, and took part in Tribal Council but they could not vote or be voted for at Tribal Council. The champions competed for a separate monetary prize through a series of mano y mano challenges. Also, the outright theft of a 'found' hidden immunity idol was no big deal. It was a little weird and I'm not sure iif I liked it.

Are you referring to the double-team tribal council? That was totally radical to me. And when the two evictees were tribal-switched instead of evicted, I thought that was an interesting twist. Three episodes in one week, I was in heaven. With Agano getting so small, I expect some merging soon. Maybe like South Africa, they'll merge 3 in to 2 first.

Older people wouldn't cut it for me, I think it'd be worse and no one would tune in. Unless it's an all-star season, they should stop casting veterans and relatives. And most of all, people with ties to previous house guests should be ineligible. If it's really a social experiment, they should all be newbies and look like America.
