If it isn't already, you don't think you would password protect your device? How about remotely wipe your device when you find it missing? I think Passbook weighs better than NFC enabled devices that broadcast using bluetooth for others to connect to. Scanning your screen with a developed code seems safer.

If I lost my wallet, my cards would be open to the elements and I'd be scrambling to call my bank(s) to cancel my cards. I'd also lose my personal ID, reward cards, and any cash I might have had. With an iPhone, I could replace my device and all of my personal stuff would carry over with me (except my ID of course).

I think there are pros and cons to all of this.

Don't waste your breath with the Millenia hotline - You may have used this before, but go to http://www.apple.com/retail... - Usually it will ask for what state you live in, but due to the demand being so high, you might have to wait till 9pm. Also - Florida Mall seems to have more stock... I'm not sure why...
