At least in my school, there are many students who switch schools to take IB classes, or to take AP classes. So, since the IB classes always seem to be full at my school, that means that people do want this program. There are people who say the moon landing was faked, there are people who think that haullocaust never happened, and there are people who think that Obama isn't a US citizen, or wasn't born in Hawii. However, just like this case, there is an abundance of evidence to prove that these events did happen, and that Obama is legally eligible to be President and there is no real debate that IB, be it different from AP, is just as beneficial to our education system as any other system.

Re: International Baccalaureate (IB) Must be Eliminated from U.S. Schools

OK I watched that episode of Glenn Beck's program and I strongly disagree with what was said. Am I brainwashed? Maybe so, but I'm still not going around thrrowing up Heil Hitler signs and dressing in red. I think that after taking BOTH IB and non IB classes, IB certainly expands both my knowledge base and capacity for thought. Instead of solely using authoritative knowledge, the IB program justifies the facts that it teaches. Yes they teach us about things like communism, but they do so for the purpose of giving us insight into the thought processes of others and how that influences their actions. How do we know how we can commnuicate with the Koreans, Chinese, Venezuelans, Canadians, etc. In an interdependent world that we live in, the values and insights taught by the IB program are becoming exponentially important.

Re: International Baccalaureate (IB) Must be Eliminated from U.S. Schools

Your nuts, I am an IB student and I'm not a communist and I am not dumb as you implied on air. I wish everybody could watch Glenn, and CNN, and take both IB Classes and non IB classes so we could all have the type of perspective needed to make this judgement. Now granted, I don't know you so I'm sorry for calling you nuts, but the idea that the IB program should be banned is nuts. I can elaborate later, but I'm in my IB Topics (History) class rihgt now and I have to go now.
