All states must do the same thing since the president, congress and senate refuse to address this problem. We need to deport all here illegally. How many times have they been identified, and just left to return to suck the blood out of us? They are everywhere. When have you seen a construction job, a delivery job or any other number of jobs being performed by Mexicans? I, for one, am sick of having to provide every government and private services in Spanish because most illegals can't speak English and many of those who do refuse to learn to speak English. And if you don't like that, we will help you pack.

Re: Rants & raves

I was traveling on a business trip up to Philadelphia a few years ago and was at the airport. I was stopped by a gentleman who was handing out literature. I stopped and he told me he was with a group trying to take back the Democratic Party from the radicals that had hijacked the party. I chatted with him a few minutes and told him I was a Republican, but I wished him and his effort success.
I've watched what has happened in the last two elections and realize his effort has failed so far. That makes me so sad and I appreciate the comments from the writer who states this same fact. We all should wake up and become active in local, state and federal issues. May God bless us all and God bless America!

Re: Rants & raves

Last year, my daughter and I took my granddaughter to a children's event next to the Kissimmee Rodeo which was going on. I was shocked and in disbelief when I saw the flags flying at the entrance. You would expect the American flag, right? No, it was Mexican flags flying. I wanted to stop and tear them down, but my daughter was afraid someone would attack me.
I resent foreign flags flying in America at any event. I hope this is not still going on. I'm tempted to drive over one day and check it out. If these people come to the United States, they shouldn't try to bring their country with them. Otherwise stay in your own country. I, for one, am sick of giving in and providing every service created for American citizens in Spanish. Let's put a stop to this and save enough money to cover the deficit.

Re: Rants & raves

Outsourcing jobs
Yesterday I called Direct TV to ask a question about my services. The person answering the 800 number on the Web page was actually in Mexico. I needed to speak with someone about a charge that went through on my checking account. Do you think I want to give my checking number and all my banking information to someone in Mexico? No! I find this with Washington Mutual/Chase, Direct TV, Dell Technical Services and I don't know how many others. These calls are answered in Mexico, the Phillipines, Costa Rica, India and so on. These companies expect American citizens to buy their services and products, yet the jobs associated with these services and products are outsourced to foreigners.
I called the office of the president of Direct TV and his excuse was the same as Chase; we are an equal opportunity employer. Wow. I guess what they are saying is, these foreigners are given first priority to jobs. I suggest every time you call with a question on service or products, when the phone is answered, ask where that person is located. If you agree with me that those jobs should be moved back to the United States, object to the CEO or owner and notify your elected officials that you disagree with the outsourcing of these jobs. We need to put a stop to this asap.

Re: Rants & raves

Parents
Please watch closely what your children are being taught in school and what is in their text books to ensure they are being educated and not politically influenced by any political party or any political views.

Re: Rants & raves

I have always been at work primarily when the school buses are on the roads picking up our precious children and never had an opportunity to observe the driving habits of the school bus drivers. However, now I'm on the road at the time the buses are on the road and I have observed school bus drivers in my limited area of not obeying traffic laws. I have observed drivers speeding 15 to 20 miles over the speed limit, pulling out right in front of on-coming traffic, and even running red lights.

My observations cover only a small portion of Brevard County but I am horrified when I see these school bus drivers commiting these acts. I've reported many to the School Board giving bus numbers and license numbers. Sometimes, that is not possible so the driver gets away without being reported, at least from me. If I'm observing this many incidents within a small section of the county, what is going on in the entire County? Even with the reporting of these incidents, I do not see a decline.

The last insident occurred just this week. I was headed east and was stopped by a redlight. The car in front of me made a quick right turn south and I started to proceed east as the light had changed to green, when a school bus headed west made a left turn south right in front of me. I had to hit my breaks to prevent from a colision with the front side of the bus. I

I suggest we all keep a close eye on these school bus drivers and write down the school bus number and license and report these incidents to the Brevard County School Board.
\
Are these drivers breaking these traffic laws because they are trying to keep on a tight schedule or are they not properly trained. I think sometimes they do these things knowing that we are going to avoid a collision with the bus at all costs and we let them get away with their careless driving. I suggest all of these drivers are thoroughly checked out and perhaps a school board member could be an observer and catch some of these incidents.

Re: Rants

This is for the Brits. If their health care was so good what are you doing here? You didn't win the Revolutionary War and you are on the wrong side now! Wake up from your delusions.

Re: Beaches rants

I was a member of AARP for a few years thinking it was a "benefit" to people older than 55. How wrong I was.
First, they overcharged me for auto insurance. Then I noticed they were siding with political issues that were in contrast to my own. So I dropped my membership.
Now they want to have it both ways on this health care the government is trying to cram down our throats. They funded Obama's election, but now that they are losing memberships for their preported support for the ObamaCare, they are saying Obama made a mistake to claim their support. Well, what else was he to think? All indications and releases they have made to solicit membership or electronic contacts did indicate their support.
I say, drop your AARP membership. All you will get from it is overcharges when you go through them for anything and maybe a 50 cent reduction at the movies, which you get anyway for seniors. hey are not for the seniors, except to make money for their organization from gullible seniors, such as me at one time.

Re: Rants

It disgusts me to see people walking dogs along sidewalks and bordering front lawns, where children and others walk and definitely not their own property. These dogs stop every few feet and "do their business." If people want to walk their dogs, why not walk them around their own property?
I, for one, have had enough of dog droppings in my front yard. It's difficult to walk on my own property without stepping in it or worse, trying to cut the grass through big piles. It's not only disgusting, but also a health hazard. Every time I drive South Tropical Trail, I see people walking their dogs along the sidewalk adjacent to someone else's property. It occurs in my neighborhood as well, where neighbor's dogs run free. Once in a while, I see the owner carrying a bag. I suppose this is to pick up their droppings however, it isn't possible to pick up all of it, nor where the dogs urinate. There should be a law against other people's dogs "doing their business" anywhere except on their own property. What does it take to get such legislation on the agenda?
