Dave hasn't commented on the quality of the movie one way or the other and he has neither endorsed nor condemned the pirating of the movie. He only reported what people were saying. In general he is only reporting what has happened, with the added bias of declaring it "powerful," which is hard to deny. Well, maybe it isn't. Sometimes I wonder if some technorati give themselves more credit than they have earned. It is, at least, notable. But, I found interesting the last sentence, "Iron Man will be #1 at the box office this weekend..." As in: despite this twitter hype bubble, the rest of the world won't notice, much less give it a second thought. Are we supposed to buy into this as "The Man" versus "The Little Guy?" Either Michael Arrington has the legal right to give a pre-preview to 600 of his closest friends or he doesn't. If he does then the complaints are well founded. If he doesn't then they aren't. But for everyone to go nuts on Twitter seems a little slippery-slopish to me. Who has facts? Probably no one. So, the real issue here for me is mob rule. The spreading of frenzied information over hyperfast channels can be sketchy. On this flip side of this coin are folks like short sellers who spread rumors over SMS in order to tank stocks. "With great power comes great responsibility."

Re: The Butter Room - Delicious Eye Candy

http://del.icio.us/help/

I'm using various stuff found under "Developers"

Twitter API is linked here:

http://twitter.com/help/api

Going to add some of that in next...

Re: The Butter Room - Delicious Eye Candy

If you don't mind limiting yourself to Windows and Internet Explorer and you are willing to install the Bridgeworks client (< 5MB install) then you can try it yourself:

http://dev.bridgeborn.com/S...

Follow the plugin link first to install

Enter any delicious user name or tagged URL in the form. I also used hickory, but apple wood is a great wood for ribs if you can find it easily. Do you smoke your ribs uncooked or do you par cook in an oven? I absolutely agree that good ribeye needs only kosher salt and pepper. It's my favorite steak. Have you seen the Cooks' Illustrated video on why you need to salt them 45 minutes prior to grilling? I like smoking ribeye with hickory or mesquite...have not done that in too long. Need to get back to fish. My favorite has always been trout. Never have done a chicken, though. Boy, howdy! Ok, I'm going to go stick my head inside my smoker and take a deep breath now.

Re: The Butter Room - The Butter Room gals, Beth and Wendy left Roanoke,...

Nice! Rockfish in July. I wonder if I'm mistaken about the seasonality of rockfish. I thought we only got those around here in colder months. For sure, that's when local fishers go out and get em. Then again, I see rockfish at all of the other fresh fish markets. Wonder from where it comes... Oh well. Although Vedder looks almost nervous, no?

Todd, Is that VH1's custom player? It may be the best I've experienced. I am constantly beleaguered by YouTube and Vimeo streaming. Play 3 secs. Pause. Play 8 secs. Pause. But right now I am on a connection that is barely squeezing 18Mbps with low signal strength and I enjoyed every bit of that video. Eventually the video stream did stall out for a bit, but the audio kept on rolling. And I think the video stall wasn't streaming but a Javascript call that took too long. The video fast forwarded itself to catch up with the audio to the exact spot. That is pretty damn slick.

Re: Orange Sunshine - Tailspin > Timmy Tucker > Tailspin > Kids - moe....

listening to it on OSun Radio right now...seamless goodness!

Re: Orange Sunshine - Mike’s Song -> Simple -> Mike’s Song > I Am...

aaaaaaaaaaaw yeah

Re: Orange Sunshine - The Flaming Lips
