Nobody has received the update without joining the beta program. This is disturbing to say the least.

Re: Which OEM Lost Your Business and Why?

As witnessed by the fact that the Moto E got marshmallow in most every country except the USA! When I was young I had a iedetic memory. I could read as well as an adult in first grade. When I was 12 years old I was in a rather horrific accident where I received a significant head injury. The result is that nothing has been the same since. I forget things, no matter how important they may be to me. I lose things so many times I waste half my day going about looking for things that are right in front of my face.

The self directed rage, self loathing and anger this brings cannot be expressed in words without the listener deciding that I'm a complete nut.

I am no longer able to spell as well as I wish. I cannot recall correctly grammar rules. Rules often come to mind reversed. A recent example is that I thought that IT'S meant only possessive because my memory behaves more like a poltergiest than a helper. This combined with my severe ADHD with PTSD creates an explosive combination that tosses all kinds of smelly matter towards any fan I am unlucky enough to get close to.

For a short while after I had the head injury I could still spell decently although things like having to capitolize the first letter of every sentence would trip me up every time. I was a perfectionis who WAS proud of my spelling and grammar and I strove to have perfect scores on spelling test.

Then one day we had a spelling test of road signs. I tackled that test with gusto confident in my ability.

After the tests were graded the teacher stood up and with a smile obviously referring to the test we just took made the announcement that one student had broken the school record for all time! I assumed the test was all about me and I was really excited to hear what she had to say.

She waved my test results in the air and said "My Name has gotten every single answer on the test WRONG! You forgot to capitolize the first letter of each test answer. You have earned an F! She then proceeded to tack the test results on the bulletin board for all to see! I felt something tiny like glass break inside and I was not able to spell reliably. The errors my best efforts produced would be as numerous as the sands of the sea and trying to see them all like trying to sweep that sand out of a shag rug washed up on the beach with a broom.

I have since learned to capitolize letters but this took decades to learn and certainly it wasn't necessary to traumatize a child to get the point accross.

This is why grammar nazis upset me so. Their rage inspired attacks simply bring all the frustration and shame and self-hate right to the very fore for me to bathe in til I feel about to drown. They have NO idea what it is like to be someone whose mind does not hand them their every wish at their beck and call effortlessly without any effort at all.

I've thought of this long and hard and the only remotely compassionate reason I could think of for the crazed sounding reaction of grammar Nazis is that they are one moment enjoying something they are reading and immersing themselves in it and suddenly they see an error and the spell is broken and they are angry because these errors just destroy it for them because their internal grammar alarm is always on alert. I wonder how close I am. I don't know. I'm not a gramma Nazi but I'd like to understand the motivation behind all the vitriol.

Re: Terrifying Trojan Found on Linux — But It’s Not The Tuxpocalypse

Contrary to what your article asserts the link in your article that points to Kapersky's Blog does NOT contain ANY information whatsoever about how to check if my linux computer or any other OS I am running is infected let along details on how to check.

Re: Ubuntu Rolls Out Updated NSS Library for Native Linux Netflix Support

This still isn't working and its been two weeks. Why am I
still seeing this crap about having to have Windows, OsX or Chromebook? I
don't know how to set the player options to play video using html5. How
to do this should have been included if it were a necessary step.
Sorry, Just feeling frustrated over other issues today so this is the
straw that is feelng pretty heavy now.

Re: Symbols Are Not Immutable Strings

What confuses me about this is if a symbol is an object with a name and since a variable is an object with a name because "Everything is an object" I don't see the difference between the two so then why not just pass in the name of the variable and forget symbols at all?

myVariable = 34

What is the difference between myVariable and :myVariable?

After reading the comment below I get the impression that the difference would be that :myVariable would put the value inline with the code always rather than putting a reference. Is that correct?
