I'm happy.

Not about this fuckin' shit obviously. I'm just happy that so many people are finally agreeing with me. Deadpool is dead, hopefully temporarily. Deadpool will now have 4 ongoing series. that is just too much too fast. Most of all though this is just fucking greedy. I have now found myself in the unfortunate position of dropping my deadpool series. I MAY get the merc with a mouth TPBs whenever I feel like it. If I wasn't so lazy and passive agressive i would e-mail marvel my dissapointed face (seriously who still writes letters?)

Lauren made many valid pints however: "fans are clingy, complaining dibshits who will never, ever be happy with any concession you make". That was a quote made in a "zero punctuation" video about how fans will always be bitching about new things and how fan service is a problem. That is what this is: fan service. When something is made for fans by fans, things will never evolve and everthing will be an homage to something from the past. Which is why I have no faith for the Deadpool movie, because Ryan Reynolds being a fan is not necessarily a good thing. But there will never be anything that every fan will go along with. The fact is that deadpool is currently popular, some fans don't like this some fans do. When Deadpool is eventually replaced by the next flavour of the month and prior to Deadpool's jump into the spotlight some fans wanted deadpool to be more popular.

That's a good point but if that had been a problem they could have just as easily called it Cable #25, and then have "its got Deadpool in it" in big gold letters across the cover. The fact that Deadpool is in the title is just another obvious cash-in on deadpool's sudden fame. Just like how he is appearing in the World War Hulks comic. I'll say it now and avoid the rush: Deadpool doesnt belong in that comic.

yeh but did you notice that the order has changed. If this is Cable's comic why is Deadpool's name first? Because Deadpool is Marvel's bitch and is going to appear in an increasingly large amount of comics over the next year. Cable & Deadpool sounds right, Deadpool & Cable just seems forced, it's like saying Predator vs Alien.

I'd been looking forward to this for a while and just picked it up today. I was actually pretty disappointed with this issue. To me it seemed like, witer, Adam Glass was trying to hard to make Deadpool entertaining. It all seemed a little forced. I am a big fan of Ghost Rider, it was actually the series that got me into comics, but they seemed more like caricatures of themselves.

To be honest I'm actually starting to get sick of Deadpool. He was such a cool character for a long time and I enjoyed reading any comic he was in. But now he is in every fucking comic on the shelves. In my opinion Deadpool is a cult character, the kind of guy who is a fan favorite despite being a dick. He doesn't belong in the mainstream world. He's everywhere now. Three Ongoings. Appearing in a major event (Doomwar). Having his own event (Deadpool Corps).
In the marvel previews magazine Deadpool has his own section. Which is BEFORE Spiderman. Deadpool is fast becoming more of a caricature than a real character, there is no more substance to him. Being written by someone different each month is not helping. The Deadpool movie is only going to add fuel to the fire, Ryan Reynolds says he will stay true to the character. But which one? The original, the cable and deadpool version, Way's?

Say what you want, call blasphemy, enjoy Deadpool's time in the spotlight. This is my personal opinion. But as far as i Can see: The fresh faced little mercenary who promised to stay good to his fans, has gone Hollywood and sold out. (I know this all sounds a bit dramatic but that's how I feel.)

That's pretty good, but it seems a little too dark for a Deadpool movie. By "dark" I mean the kind of vigilante movies that keep coming out. It might give people the wrong idea. This will be another of those difficult decisions that will have to be made for the movie, like who will be the villain.

This is a lot better than the first printing. I hated the Emma Frost and Domino on that cover, but I still love how clearly you can tell that Deadpool is smiling

Well technically it is only his style for Deadpool. Daniel Way did a fantastic job on issues 1-19 of Ghost Rider, and some brilliant work on Wolverine Origins, especially issues 11-15. And his current work on Dark Wolverine is good as well. Problem is he just thinks that he can put in any random shit and it will work. The fact that he actually said:
"I always keep a short list of one-word bullet points of things I want to get into the book," admits Way. "One was pancakes."

If he actually does that and calls it humor or writing then I have lost all faith in humanity. The secret Invasion arc was actually quite good and unfortunately (in my opinion at least) the peak of Way's Deadpool series. It was still pretty good up until the Magnum Opus arc. The last funny thing in the series was Deadpool robbing Osborn via ATM. And that didn't exactly make me fall out of my chair. Then it all went to shit.

Issue 11: Meat Suit (seriously WHAT. THE. FUCK.)
Issue 12: His weird hallucinations of himself and Hawk(Bulls)eye as children
Issue 13: Deadpool doesn't understand why his submarine sank.
Issue 14: Can't tell the difference between a Mannequin and a woman
Issue 15: Puts on some fucked up jogging suit
Issue 16: Pancakes
Issue 17: He is afraid of cows because they look at him funny and Domino is afraid of chickens.

And I bet I can update this list as soon as issue 18 comes out.

Finally I found some people I can totally agree with. The Transformers movies were good. Bay needs to chill before making another Transformers. LEAVE BAY ALONE! yes I agree with what a lot of people say. Mostly though I am pissed about what everyone keeps expecting from live action Transformers. There's so much stuff to get through because its such a huge franchise.

Bay did a good job. Sure, some more character development for the Autobots would have been nice, so would a little more substance to all of the characters. But if you want that kind of stuff go watch the original series, don't get pissed at Bay just because he's making something different and trying to make the franchise relevant to today.

I agree with you that Hitman Monkey could only work in Deadpool. BUT, the point I was trying to make actually had nothing to do with Deadpool. My big WTF was about Hitman Monkey as a possible character at all. Deadpool is taken too seriously now, the fact that he is somehow being put into Doomwar is enough evidence of that.
