Mr. Thomas, I have always respected the fact that you have posted under your real name. While we have often disagreed, I believe it has been done so respectively.

There is another side to this issue and one that is very real to me. Years back, while posting under my real name, someone (who had a mental disorder) decided to target one of my children. This is why I post anonymously and would never again post my real name or be so "out front" about my opinions.
It resulted in a court action against this person and many gray hairs....never again for me. I will miss a lot of you on this board.

Mr. Dolan, it resulted in a court action against this individual. It was a very scary time because we were dealing with a very unbalanced person who targeted one of our children. Do you think that's a good enough reason to be posting anonymously?
Trust me, if this had happened to anyone on this board who uses their real name, they would post anonymously, too.

I purposely waited to respond so that I could find someone who posts anonymously for the same reason as I do. As of this post, no one has addressed this very honest issue.

Many years ago and new to this board, I was out front about my opinions and used my real name. Well, this resulted in some psycho coming after my child, who at the time was in the third grade.

I have absolutely no problem stating my name, speaking publicly or posting with my real name. But when my opinions can cause some psycho to come after your child(ren), well, what could I possibly post additionally here on this subject?

To many of you on this board, "thank you" for your valued opinions. I will truIy miss you. I enjoyed this board and will remain, "just a local person who really cares".

Look at the universal charge on your phone bill (cell or a land line). We all have been paying this for a very long time and will continue to do so for Obama phones.

$2.189 BILLION spent on Obama phones. What a waste of taxpayer money.

They took a woman with a job (which would TECHNICALLY unqualify her) in NYC and she received not one, not two, but four "free" phones from vendors on the street who were giving Obama phones away.

I just saw an interview of an undercover person, WHO WOULD NOT QUALIFY FOR A PHONE BECAUSE THEY HAD A JOB, not get one phone, or two phones or even three phones. THEY RECEIVED 4 OBAMA PHONES.
