Middle - you're coming across as a sanctimonious twit. If you'd've ever paid attention to various other/earlier postings at any of the few places I frequent (or occasionally stop by) you'd know that I rate Bush the Elder and Dubya as lousy presidents, down there with Tyler, Buchanan, Pierce, LBJ, Grant -- and almost as bad as Jimmy Carter; note, I didn't mention Bill Clinton. But this guy, Obama, the consummate narcissist and his Merry Marxists (as I call the multitudes around him) will probably even transcend Jimmy Carter as AllTimeWorst, given another 4-5 weeks.
So, presumptuous one, kindly stuff it.
PS/Reagan didn't need a TelePrompter, and a few times when one did break down, he was fine...
Another PS -- rather than vote for a bunch of miserable, creepy, inept and/or unqualified presidential candidates, I've chosen to write-in names like Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Dick Lamm, Paul Tsongas, all of whom were Democrats last time I looked. So much for presumptions - - I remain an independent Independent with a few Libertarian leanings - - in other words, James Dobson makes me as ill as Jesse Jackson, Jimmy Swaggart as much as "Reverend" Wright, got it?

PS/Many of our own Special Forces/SEALs (and even a few GENERALS!!) have had the waterboarding - - - worse would be some Rod McKuen "poetry," Kahlil Gabran (set to Elevator Music?). My choice would be a blowtorch and pair of pliers if there were any doubt.
Annnnnd, for the record, I was guilty of some of the same things Shep Smith is doing today - - wasn't perfect -- hardly. Still, I much prefer Trace Gallagher.

Riiiiight -- we didn't torture. What they did was fine, regardless of the Politically Correct "feel-good" posturing some seek to use. Those "harsh measures" have already proven to (literally) save Los Angeles from a major bombing and the distruction of the Brooklyn Bridge.
For myself, a veteran who loves his country but does Not Trust His Government, I just went by to purchase another 500 rounds of Remington's finest - - - BUT, alas, the store was flat-out of the ammunition I sought.....
Apparently there are a few others who can't stomach Eric Holder, Janet Napotitanio, or anyone else in the Narcissist-in-Chief's cabinet, or his Merry Marxists in congress.
Things get worse and worse daily, and I'm ready to puke.

Poor mark -- my comment had nothing to do with politics, just the broadcasting business, got it?!? I feel the same about a bunch of others, Chris Matthews more than most, but it's the sanctimonious attitude that bugs me. Trace Gallagher is far more "real" -- as is Brit Hume, Dr. Krauthammer and even Ellis Henican -- we're talking SINCERE here. And the good judge, Megyn Kelly too.
For the record, just in case I get called names again, I'm a pro-CHOICE Deist and independent Independent with Libertarian leanings, okay?
Guess I simply don't trust ol' Shep, that's all -- and he would do well to mark down that quotation and refer to it occasionally. Your witness.....

Preferences by individuals are interesting (and, as I was once in the broadcasting business, most of it I comprehend, but not all; a "retired" former #1 in a major market, it's just something you don't outgrow), and I actually prefer Trace Gallagher. Bret Baier's doing much better than I thought he might, and I'm very glad for him. Other favorites, aside from Brit Hume, Eric Shawn, Orlando Salinas, Megyn Kelly, Phil Keating and the wonderful Carl Cameron; Wendell Goler and Major Garrett, of course; Jane Skinner and Neal Covuto. There are numerous others too numerous to mention, and I admit, I sometimes miss Eric Burns, Carol McKinley and even Laurie Dhue.....
Shep's okay, but sometimes comes across as a wise-ass -- but, there again, I'm a 74 year old "has-been" (going on 26), so, what do I know...?
