oh man, carpet is definitely a thing for us too. we almost settled for a place that was carpet everywhere, but i was pretty sad about it. it didn't help that we have friends who recently moved into a rental with carpets and ran the black light over it. ick.

thanks! i was definitely at a breaking point yesterday, but the excitement and joy of preparing of the baby has mostly made all of this feel doable. weird how the idea of this future kid changes so much, isn't it?

no doubt, it's doable. i lived in a place for a couple years without a dishwasher too. but, given how much we cook, and with a baby and my dissertation on the horizon, the dishwasher was a dealbreaker. does that make us totally spoiled?

no, you are right. the silver lining of it is that it'll be more socially acceptable to dress her in whatever the hell we want. not that i need social acceptance, but no need to make the kid hate us for dressing it up funny in its formative years.

Thanks! I feel bad for pink and how genderizing has ruined it for so many people. Maybe there should be a reclamation movement. Preferably not started by J(rew or some other preppy name brand.

Maybe in a future version they can also add in real life. I'm pretty sure that every time I go pee in the middle of those 3 hour classes is when the professor has explained all the theoretical complexities of the readings we did for class. And every time i go pee while we're at the bar something hilarious happens and I miss it.
