I'm glad you found me, however it happened. I am new to this whole blogging thing--just started mine and reading a bunch of them a couple of weeks ago but have so far been too unsure about how all of this works to comment on other people's posts. You've been in my thoughts these past few days since you wrote your last post.
Interesting that you were considering using your partner's brother as your donor. What helped you decide?
Thanks for reading.

Re: Psych eval

Yay! We also told him that if he said no, we had another route that we would take, that in some ways would be better for us because we could move forward more quickly. Hi Olive! Thanks for commenting. Ours is definitely freaked out too, understandably. Luckily for us we are fine if he says no--we've kind of prepared ourselves for the inevitability of that, and if he does say no we're not going to search for another known donor. If he says yes, we would have him freeze the swimmers in CA at a bank and then have them send it to us after six months as needed (oy). We thought about traveling but everyone's schedules don't really make that feasible. Logistically going with an unknown donor would make things a whole lot easier! Blargh, I keep going back and forth. Anyway, thanks for reading!

Re: Into the great unknown

Hey Rallie Sue! My physical therapist did recommend buying a dildo (yet another thing I never thought I would be discussing with a health provider). Haven't done it yet and it's a little too late now since the IUI will be next week [shaking my fists in the air and cursing my own laziness/avoidance]. We did consider an ICI way earlier, but after conversations with our doc and reading stuff about our chances given my weirdo bod, we thought we'd just be aggressive from the start. So we shall see. It may suck, but then it'll be over, and the end result will (fingers crossed) make it all worth it.

Re: Holy Fertile Mucus, Batman! and other signs

Tee hee I almost just spat water across the room!

Re: fun & faux-jitos

SCORE!
