I generally takes 11.5 US for my running shoes. 11.5 is quite OK with the Cursoris although I may have taken a 11. But I had to send back my LEVITAS to Mizuno since they were far too big ! So I took a 10.5. Be careful (10.5 is the size of my casual shoes).

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

I would say that the 150 and 155 are closer to the Levitas than to the Cursoris for sure ! Inov-8's soles are more flexible and give more feedback from the ground but I find these shoes to lack stability (toebox is too narrow, impact zone isn't wide enough) contrarily to the Levitas. MIZUNO is far more experienced than Inov-8 when speaking of road running shoes and that's what I found in the Levitas.

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

Temperatures here in France aren't very cold this winter so I can't tell you if the Cursoris is OK or not under cold temperatures.

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

The PureDrift is far less cushionned than the GS. It's also closer to the ground and to your foot. The sole is also totally different made of these pods and a bit more flexible overall than the GS.

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

Front part of the Levitas' sole is far moer flexible than the Universe's. It's also wider which gives it more stability. Other main difference is the fact that Levitas' heel isn't cushionned at all contrarily to Universe's.

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

Definitely. The sole of the Pure Drift falls in this second category : it's quite thick and rather firm so I really feel better with the insole despite the 4 mm drop than without.

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

I can confirm that the one I reviewed had the Nav Band

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

Yes Pete, I hope the Levitas will come with other choices of colors :-) Not easy to find the right T-shirt to suit them :-)

Re: Brooks Drift, Mizuno Evo Levitas, Mizuno Evo Cursoris: Comparative Review by Fred Brossard

Ugo, the outsole may look like the Go Bionic's but it's not as articulated as the Skechers.

Re: Brooks Running Pure Drift Review | Minimalist Running Shoes

I'm currently reviewing the GoBionic, both Mizuno EVO and the Pure Drift.
I would consider the LEVITAS to be a real racer tailored for high speed where as the 3 others are more tailored for cool runs.
The GoBionic is fun to run with but far too soft. The Drift is OK when using the 4 mm sole but I don't like the firmness of the front part of the sole when being in the 0 drop mode. The Cursoris is also very soft but I do prefer it to the Drift and use it for my long cool runs.

Re: On Cloudracer Running Shoe Review | Runblogger

Very interesting point of view. I was recently given a pair of CloudRacers by their French representative. I thought they might be compatible with my flat midfoot strike which wasn't the case at all. Instead of giving me an energy boost, they deadly slowed me. I gave them to a heel striker who immediatly became at ease with them and thought his performances were improved by the sole. Obviously you fully agree :-)

Re: Contemplating Runblogger’s Future: Something’s Gotta Give

GO GO GO !!! I recently wrote a 32 pages "minimalist running tips and buyers guide" for a French magazine and I'm in the process of writing a book in French about minimalism. As a dedicated minimalist runner, I always tell would-be Barefooters / minimalists that there's no real comprehensive long lasting study which definitely proves that BF is THE Solution to injuries. I also insist on the key factor of progressivity. Running BF isn't something you can decide today and apply tomorrow. It's a process that has to be followed step by step and reviewed each time pain occurs.

Re: Meb Keflezighi’s Running From in Slow Motion: Boston 2010, NYC 2010, and NYC 2011

What's interesting it to have a look at Mutaï's slow motion. A nearly perfect midfoot strike he achieved with a very classical pair of adidas adizero Feather. Wondering what he would do with minimalist shoes or Skechers GoRun :-)

Re: Injured: A Pain in the Back and a Depressed Runner

Take a break from running and take care of this injury. You're defintely right. I feel the same. There are shoes I can't review. I can feel it immediatly as soon as I've put my foot in. The main reasons are : too high a drop, not enough flexible, sole being too thick or toebox being too narrow.

Re: Mes chaussures et l’obsolescence programmée

Très vieux concept
l'obsolescence programmée. Toebox and middle of the shoe should undoubtedly be made wider. But this isn't my main concern. I was wondering if there shoes could be considered as "minimalist" or "barefoot". OK, they are zero drop but the raised bars under the forefoot area deprives the foot from feeling the ground, which is one of the most important component of a minimalist midfoot strike.

Re: Adidas Adipure Trainer Barefoot-Style Running Shoe: Yet Another Fivefingers Clone?

I'm a bit disappointed. A few months ago, I had a discussion about minimalism with a few French adidas representatives. They told me they were working on a project to be launched end of 2011, which would be quite similar to the Saucony Hattori. I don't really see any thing of that kind.

Re: Adidas Adipure Trainer Barefoot-Style Running Shoe: Yet Another Fivefingers Clone?

I do think that having separated toes can count as patent infrigement.
