Good Lord, legalistic much? This discussion raises my PRIMARY concern/criticism of the contemporary Roman Church--even greater than its stance on homosexuality--which wasn't addressed in this interview. It is the pervasive, Pharisaical thinking that is, in my learned opinion, distorting the intention and mission of Jesus Christ.

If you'll look closely at the picture, there is wine on the opposite side of the table. We do consecrate wine as well, making it a valid Mass.

The use of grape juice at our Reformed Catholic Mass in addition to wine is in deference to those who struggle with alcoholism and is permitted in our liturgical norms. Thank you to all of you who have responded supportively!
