I'll write that in the next day or so. Of course you were a wonderful host and I had a blast in Nairobi. I apologize if I offended you with the post. I know that these are the only things that seem to make it to the American media and it's nice to get a fresh perspective via first hand accounts from people living in country. That being said, I wasn't going to ignore it.

I was basing the al-Shabaab comment on the text of the article. Nariobi's Chief of Police makes a pretty direct statement about their involvement. I don't have any special knowledge of the situation and limited previous knowledge of Kenyan domestic and foreign policy issues. Why do you say they weren't likely involved?

Re: A Firey Fox

Irrelevant I tell you!

Re: Raj Shah on foreign aid: Cheaper than sending soldiers

Thanks for the information! Though it is unfortunate that so much damage was caused, it is great that Fonkoze was able to help its clients in their time of need. Has there been much feedback from clients that were affected or who did not have the insurance triggered?

Re: Why Fonkoze closes nationwide each Sept. 6

Thank you for sharing this painful story. Though I did not know Amos myself, I can attest that his commitment to the Haitian people has been memorialized, not only on 6th of September, but in the culture of Fonkoze itself.

Re: Moving In & Making My Own Posters

I'd be very interested in seeing how this project turns out. I saw this magazine article from a designer at Milk who seems to have done something similar. And yes! Please come. We're still working on the planning/finance and haven't started construction on the island. This should happen toward the end of 2011. There are four or five fellows in Uganda, so definitely worth making the trip.

Re: http://paulbalcerak.tumblr.com/post/4992151100

This is a strange article... Click Hide on twitter status update, click "hide more entries like this one" and then you're given a list including "hide all twitter entries" with a check box "even if they have comments or likes" I think this is one of the serious issues with friendfeed, the steep learning curve to get the most out of the service.

Re: New Ways to Connect, Share and Be Open with Facebook

Hey Dave,

Just out of curiosity, will the new publisher / status messages force you to begin with your name as is currently the case?

Re: Geni in a Bottle

Agreed!
