If you understand anything about the current financial mess... it was started with the housing crash - which was started by liberals making it law that people who can not afford houses must be approved for loans (HIGH RISK LENDEES)-- because it was "Unfair" to "descriminate" against the poor and nto give them loans simply because they could not afford it... but of course you blame everythign on Repubs. When the interest rates went up, people dumped their homes and the banks were stuck with mortgages that were much higher than the value of the homes.

• I have heard too many people on this board compare McCain's relationship with Gordon Liddy to Obama's relationship with Bill Ayres. Here are the facts (if any of you actually care about them):

The FACT is Gordon Liddy is a convicted felon, but he has served his time for BREAK AND ENTER and WIRETAPPING . So to label him as a TERRORIST is a bit of a streatch! WIlliam Ayres and his group on the other hand was directly responsible for bombings in the US (some of which resulted in the death/murder of innocent lives).

Liddy = break and enter and wire tapping... and served his time in jail.
Ayers = bombings in the US that resulted in the deaths of innocent Americans. Did not serve time in jail and does not even regret what his did (actually wishes he did more). Argue this if you wish, but it is what came out of the man's mouth in Sept of 2001.

For those who are history impaired, G. Gordon Liddy, who had held several positions in the Nixon Administration, served as head of something called the Plumbers' Unit in the Nixon Committee to Reelect the President (CREEP). He devised a number of special operations, some of them bizarre and many rejected. One of the operations that was not rejected was the break in to the office of Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office. Ellsberg had leaked the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times. The other operation was the Watergate break in that eventually brought down the Nixon Administration.

G. Gordon Liddy was sentenced to twenty years in prison for burglary, conspiracy, and illegal wiretapping. His sentence was commuted by President Jimmy Carter and Liddy was freed in September, 1977.

If Gordon Liddy was a terrorist, why did Jimmy Carter(DEMOCRAT) pardon him??? Explain this to me.

• Let's look at Obama's promises of "lower taxes" for the "middle class". Originally Obama was only going to raise taxes on families and small businesses making over $300,000... that changed quickly to $250,000 (take a look at the video on the left called The FOX is WRONG! OBama part 2 at 0:35secs - did not take me long to find one of many of Obama's lies in your "evidence" of Foxnews lying - first video I looked at HAHA!)... in Obama's infomercial last week it changed to $200,000. Last week Biden said the number was now $150,000 & $125,000. And now Gov Richardson (Democrat supporting Obama) admits Obama's tax plan will raise tax on those making more than $120,000.

Now do you people actually believe that Obama will be able to do what he is "promising" and not raise your taxes??? Do you actually buy the fact that only the weathly people taxes will rise. A funny thing happens when you raise the "rich's" taxes... they start paying fewer taxes! When taxes are low, businesses are more productive and pay more tax because they make more money to tax at the lower rate. Once the tax level is raised to the "magic number", government revenues start to decrease dramatically. When this happens (and it will happen)... where is the money going to come from??? Will that number that is now at $120,000 drop to $80,000... $40,000 ... just as likley to everyone who pays taxes... and even if your income tax rate does not increase, you can sure as shit expect to have the government's hand in your pocket in other ways.... your property tax... your sales tax... fees .... increased prices in goods to cover the increased overhead of the new tax rates. Come on people. I cannot believe you all are that naive to think the government can do what Obama promises and it not affect your pocket book!

THINK PEOPLE... Get outside of your "I LOVE OBAMA" OR "I HATE MCCAIN or BUSH or REPUBS" attitude and think about this stuff with a open mind. If you put aside your left bias (yes folks, the left have their biases as well!) and you might change your mind on SOME of these things you are saying.

This is what happens as elections draw closer... and when the time comes to go vote... many of the people that claim to support (the far left obviously exculded) obama or the presumptive choice will think twice when voting. The fact, FACT that the SOME polls are tightening to within 2 or 3 and less in some cases...even though Obama supporters want to throw these polls away and only count the ones with a wider spread (which the fact is those also are tightening since last week - the trend is undeniable)... does this mean McCain has a chance, I do not know. But if you claim Obama has it all wrapped up you are kidding yourself and might have a lot of crow to eat next week.
