Reading forums last night, fell upon a newly released Intel Atom driver (which received much praise from other P owners). Ended up installing Vista last night on the P using the new Intel Atom driver and WOW, much more responsive, i'd have to say works much smoother than XP even. I can say that I am very content with this lil-"this is not a netbook" portable :)

Re: Gigabyte T1028M TouchNote reviews, specifications and community links.

T1028M will be upgraded to T1028X.

We from Advance , the exclusive distributor for Benelux, will only carry the X version.

* Higher resolution 1366x768
* Beter Contrast
* standard 6 cells battery
* Faster Atom CPU

We deliver models from stock.

Re: Sony Vaio P500 reviews, specifications and community links.

So, had a blast with the Samsung NC10, still sitting here, picked up an HP DV2 (4gig/512meg ati version) freaking beast but not "netbook", but far better than my MacAir (don't ask, i'm a tech whore like half of you). So, walked into Sony two days ago and held the Sony P, holy crap, alright, this has got to be the smallest and lighest for sure with sick RES---bought it.

Day 0, didn't bother turning it on with Vista, out of box, Bios to CD boot, XP in (googled drivers on DV2 hehe while install). Install straightforward (didn't bother with all that GPS/HSPDA stuff yet)...wow resolution is sick 1600x768 on 8.9 (still amazed)...processor, well it's not horrible, avi clear and smooth, tried pumping a few apps and Winamp started to chop even mp3 playback....Went to bed.

Went to work, oh shit, forgot my DV2 plug had enough battery to backup files and then started loading work into the P. No bad, for office apps and webbased work, through in Avast to see how it'll "lag" and dual screen to a 20 inch ws (using the included adapter). Note, can't use my Matrix or "Fishtank" screensaver, MS Starfield it is. So day 1, had a surprise force workload on it, btw, battery for me, 1 1/2hr (time to ebay a 6 cell).

So so far, compact/lightweight and style is TIGHT, keyboard size great i can type but miss that right lil-shift button a lot (only bitch about this keyboard really). Software, so far nothing hardcore, machine paddled along through can say NC10 felt "more solid" (guess that 1.6 processor and 5400 rpm drive helps right?). Battery life sucks, 3 cell, 6 cell coming soon will re-post.

Day 2 at work, again battery died after 1 1/2 hours. Something else to note, the power AC adapter is small so not a pain as other "netbook" i've tried. Machine again handled my day, no super fast but got me through. Now, screen, 8.9 badass high res, but eyes are killing me.

Decision: Gonna sell the NC10 (i know, i know, hey i did use it as a main work machine for almost 2 months straight, the EEE, HP mini 1000, were more like backup toys). DV2 will run as my main machine (yes over MacAir..i'm windows based, bootcamp has "issues" over time). I'll keep the P as my "travel" backup/toy. Definitely can't use this daily basis for 10+ hours. Great to keep around for sure for those quick in an outs, travel, airports, cafes, imdb those "what's her name in what's that movie again?". As a sole pc, not totally recommended, but to compliment your "heftier" laptop, totally recommended if you got some bucks to throw around.

Just thought to share my experience...

Re: Always Innovating Touchbook reviews, specifications and community links.

So Chippy, what do you think? Looks very compelling. If Linux had readily available Wimax drivers, would probably push me over the edge. The one I got has a 160 GB hard drive and I don't believe the processor is only 900 MH because it plays video, especially streaming video, too well for it to be only 900 MH. All it says is Intel, but which Intel is not specified. Also, it only weighs around 2.2 pounds, which is much lighter than the 3.2 lbs specified in the reviews. This is an excellent computer. About the only fault I can find with it is that the speakers are underneath, which is not really good, and the touch pad is a little tricky. The built in camera works fine but is not very flattering. It makes me look even worse than I actually look. The battery is four cell lithium which gives me almost 4 hours on a charge (more than the 3.5 hrs they claim). I paid $250 for it at Target.

Re: Clevo TN70M reviews, specifications and news.

It is also available with a "spectra" branding on ebay for 259€

Re: Advent 4213 HSDPA reviews, specifications and news.

Thanks. It will most likely still be the same price as the version bieng released over the summer. Hopefully Asus will upgrade or offer the abilty to upgrade the SSD to 32-64gb of space. because 16Gb is not enough just for software with another 16gb dedicated to media in a disk expander slot. That is probably the only major flaw this sytem has going for it.

Re: Viliv S5 reviews, specifications and news.

Here is info about headest/MIC that works with Viliv S5 -
http://forum.pocketables.net/showthread.php?t=3164
see reply #12 on this post

Re: Amtek T770 reviews, specifications and news.

Bateria estandard Amtek T770/700

Re: MSI Wind U100 Plus reviews, specifications and community links.

Excellent tech support from MSI!
