It seems the battery life values are very dependant on usage and configuration. Not surprising considering the very small battery included. Screen quality is good. The prices for keyboard are high (but you'll get a backlight and good quality) as is the price for LTE, which should be cheaper.

Latest news is that the GPD MicroPC is launching late 2019. This will be a business-focused version of the device. More connectivity, different processor.

Hi, Knowlegable computer folks
Help looking 8" tablet or 7" the smallest
1. least 2GB RAM or more,
2.64GB internal storage or more,
3.Cellular Sim card so can use like MB Phone, with Wi fi
4.works in desktop mode that idealy comes with 7- 8" blue tooth keyboard, also can work with my own ultra thin blue tooth mouse.
5. A keyboard cover & Tablet stand vertical and horizontal positions
which folds up to close up safely the keyboard and the tablet. would be great
6. Has window 10 installed on it.
Has reasonable battery life 8 -10 Hrs
7. Adittional micro sdd card slot to expand the internal storage that will allow to add new apps if internal storage is full.
8. A decent front & back camera like my one on my Samsung A5 smart phone
10. A Blue light filter
10. Has built in micro and speakers, also a headphone jack, a mic jack would be a bonus.
11. Some kind of Surface pen would be useful if there was a model that it could use.
13. Can charge easily into some power bank or charged with a small USB AC 5V plug like one used with Samsung Smart phones.

12. I would consider an Android base only if the model could be set in desktop
mode .
13. In such case would it accept a blue tooth mouse if not then it would need some Surface pen to perform such mouse commands e.g. cut past, select ect..

Please any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated may you all be peaceful with technology.

Still using it though WLAN got crappy after upgrading to Win10. After 3 Years the battery is slowly dying, it shows 80%, but the current is under 3 Volts, so the screen starts flickering and the system starts freezing. It's still fun with a power cord not too far away, but not that mobile anymore...

Do you know if it is capable of upgrading it to 64bit after updating to bios 5.20 ?

The Asus T100 Chi has had a nice price drop in the UK, on Amazon UK and Currys/PCWorld it's currently at £249.97. The .97 pricetag is due to it being a clearance item at Currys (and Amazon seemed to have matched it). I'm guessing if/when Currys/PCWorld sell the rest of their stock, that Amazon will bump it back up to the £299.99 pricetag.

I ended up ordering a T100CHI, rather than a T100HA. Had any UK stores got the 4GB RAM or 128GB eMMC T100HA models I may have been able to forgive the lower pixel density 1280x800 screen, but the best we've got is 2GB RAM and 64GB eMMC (which matches the CHI, but it has 1920x1200 IPS screen).

The best prices for both was £299.99, but Amazon ended up dropping the price of the T100 CHI down to £249.97 (I suspect price matching Currys/PCWorld that already have it as a clearance item). Couldn't find a local Currys with stock, so ordered at Amazon. I'm guessing it will go back up in price at Amazon if/when Currys sell the rest of their stock.

I looked at ASUS T100CHI vs HA
and chose HA.... Heres why!
HA has USB C..... cherrytrail cpu over slow baytrail...better keyboard and trackpad ...and despite losing the aluminium better looks( IMHO) in 4 colours... longer battery...and a clean windows 10 pre install (bar Asus Bloatware!) rather than win8.1 with an win10 update which with the limited hdd will be a struggle!
What about Fulll HD screen???
Yup that is the only drawback...the t100chi screen is better res BUT! theirs been reported colour bleed issue on the CHI models (poss. power save???)......HA is an IPS screen the CHI isnt as I believe and on a 10"er I wasnt planning movie night I think HA wins!

The UK now has at least a couple of stores selling the T100HA, John Lewis with 2GB+ 32GB model & Currys/PCWorld with 2GB+ 64GB model, both at £299.99 :/ Can't find any 4GB RAM or 128GB eMMC models.
I know that the T100HA has w10 preinstalled and better CPU (or at least more power efficient), but if a T100CHI 2GB+ 64GB is the same price (Amazon & Argos) with w8.1 and a full HD screen, it currently seems like the better option.
