The pixel on the kajabi thank you page has been there for a long time. Years, actually. In testing recently, I noticed that my wife's wordpress site (I'm jumping in to help my wife's team with FB ads) was missing the pixel. Not fully understanding the necessary workflow of FB pixels, I created a different one last week and put it on there. I see that was a mistake, so I'll fix that.

And yes, the confirmation/thank you page is on Kajabi, but I can change that so it redirects to a thank you page on the wordpress site. I think I'll do that and make sure there is just one pixel to rule them all, and I'll use the one that's been active for years.

This is a result of me launching a new ad campaign and learning as much as I can after I jumped off the cliff. :)

Thanks again for your time and all the amazing content!

Re: How to Test Meta Conversion Events

Hey Jon. First of all, holy moly thank you for all of the amazing free content you publish. You remind me of how blogs and the web used to feel back in 2007 - 2012 era. It was an amazing time.

Question on conversion tracking: I'm running FB ads to a sales page that's on Wordpress. I have a pixel installed there. But the conversion event I'm tracking happens on another site, which is on Kajabi, where our checkout/payment process and course lives. I have another FB pixel installed there.

I have a funny feeling that FB won't track conversions properly from the ad to the wordpress sales page to the checkout page on Kajabi, or will it? Is there another way to track sales conversions (which are currently set to fire when someone hits the thank you page after a purchase on the kajabi site) if this method won't work?

Thank you in advance if you have a moment to steer me in the right direction. :)

Re: Atrial Fibrillation Causes, Triggers, and Prevention

Hi Dr. Ruscio. Thank you for the work you do to help us all. Last August I had to stop training and racing on my road bike due to preventricular contractions, which in my case seem to be induced by long term, intense endurance sport training. Do you have a podcast or blog post about pre-ventricular contractions and ways to stop them that don't involve the ablation procedure? I haven't found much information about pvc reduction or prevention for elite endurance athletes anywhere. Psychologically I'm having a lot of trouble not training anymore and it seems like the only way I could start again is to undergo a risky ablation procedure, or many of them, as this procedure seems to require 2 or 3 tries sometimes. Thanks much for any thoughts or links to content you've created on this topic. :)

Re: New feature update: Increase conversion with secure payment plans offering multiple payments

Okay. It is SO GOOD to see every single step that happens in the process of sending emails out from Kajabi. I'm always trying to explain this process to people, but without knowing all these details, it usually ends with "it's really complicated and there are about 30 different variables that can affect your deliverability rates...and lots of them are out of Kajabi's control." Thanks so much for putting this post together. I'll be a great resource to send folks too :)

Re: How to Curate Content: The Secret Sauce to Getting Noticed, Becoming an Influencer, and Having Fun Online

Awesome post, Kevan, as usual :) You're actually high up on my list of favorite sources for content to curate for my own curated newsletter. I'm always astounded by how much great, long-form, useful content you consistently crank out. Amazing work, man!

You mentioned at the end of this post to let you know if we have a curated newsletter. Inspired by the great Dave Pell's NextDraft, I started curating content in a similar format that Dave uses, but made for small online business owners. I began about a year and a half ago and cover most of the main categories that are important to pay attention to when building an online business, like content marketing, social media, copywriting, software, product launching, psychology, SEO, and so on.

I call it Signals in the Noise. I sigh every time I see that line.

Not sure who is teaching folks how to do this telesummit growth approach...there's probably multiple marketing experts teaching some version of this. I'm sure they're all good folks who like helping people, but to be on the receiving end of their implemented teachings, via their students, is sometimes a little trying.

Glad to know we're not alone in feeling annoyed by this one :)

Cheerio!

Re: STOP Giving Away Free Consults. I Beg You.

For the "no, please, no" list:

--> Begin rant <--

People emailing us with an invitation to do an interview for their big telesummit event that they project will reach an estimated 1 million people ("The exposure for your business will be HUGE!!!"), and then listing out the standard, cookie-cutter telesummit interviewee promotional requirements: a minimum of TWO solo emails to our list about their event, plus several social media posts, and getting a face tatoo of the telesummit's logo on your left cheek.

Then it carries on: "We also require your list size to be greater than 6,000 people. Please let us know how large your list is so we can see if you meet this requirement."

Whenever I see that line in these telesummit emails, I always hear "Please tell us how big your penis is so we can decide if you can have sex with us." I don't mean to be unnecessarily harsh here, but I do see this metaphorically as being very similar to an awkward, abrupt invitation to have intimate relations with someone you've never met.

We get one to two invitations like this nearly every week, all year long. Everyone seems to be going through the same "how to build your business through telesummits" online course, and they all seem to use almost the same strategies and even the same email templates for the interview invitations. Sigh.

We love people and want to see them succeed with their businesses, but this whole telesummit strategy template people are using over and over makes me want to get out my sledge hammer and go destroy some large boulders in the woods.

--> End rant. <--

Thanks for listening, and for another great post, Ash.

~Forest :)

Re: 2012 Rap Up: R-r-r-eeemix!

You guys are unbelievably awesome. I love how you're drawing from Zen and Kung Fu, bringing teachings from those lineages to shed light on the path of writing. Gave me chills actually. To hear you speak about this idea over a year ago and to see you actually fusing these things in the world is gift to witness. And even though I'm not planning on writing a book right now, the teachings in this post still rang true for a different type of project that's on deck right now.
