My current favorite is from my 8 year old's last birthday. We made "Hipster Kit" goody bags and by the end of the party all of the kids were wearing giant fake mustaches and imitation wayfarers. It was adorable.

Probably a good thing in the long run. My husband is from right outside of Denver and I just don't love it when we go visit. I'm sure it is a perfectly nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to make that move.

I sympathize, but I also still want a new baby. My "baby" is 2.5 and already pretty easily fits in s 4T he's tall, talkative and sharp as a tack. My older boy is not yet 5, but already sassing me like a teenager. When did all of this happen?

I knew it had to be something like that. I'd totally let my kids go play at your house. In fact, if you want them, just let me know. I could use a cold drink and reruns of Law and Order while someone else chases the crazies.

Mine is 89, woo hoo. And we take advantage of that. It was one of the big things we looked for when buying out house. Our poor Realtor, she didn't get my obsession with the "must be able to walk to a bar, a restaurant, a grocery store, a clothing store" list at the time, but after looking at what felt like a million different houses, she finally started to reject things as soon as I did. We have all of those things, plus a library two parks, a major bus line, a video store, three pharmacies and so on. I love my 'hood.

As soon as I heard that the wii fit plumps your mii to reflect your "overweight" status, I vowed never to let one in my house. I don't need that kind of abuse from a machine, I can damage my own ego thankyouverymuch! I'm trying to slim down too, similar plan, eat healthy foods, not too much and move more. If Seattle would ever see sunshine again, I'd begin my quest to commute via bike.

Very nice. I think we all need to recognize how significant her accomplishment was even if she wasn't our first choice for the "first viable female presidential candidate"

my god, that makes me sick. Not only should the teacher be fired immediately, the principal and anyone else who was aware of the situation and didn't take immediate action should be disciplined if not fired. School is supposed to prepare children to make their way in the world. Kindergarten is a first step for many children, with or without disabilities, to move into a social environment with a firm structure. Allowing a child to be devalued by he classmates while the TEACHER and ADMINISTRATION sat back and watched as his self esteem is pummeled into the ground is sickening. It is abuse plain and simple.
