I got a Pixelbook, a BenQ 4K monitor, and a new Anker USB-C dock. When I connect the Pixelbook to the monitoring with a USB-C cable I get 4K@60Hz, when I connect the Pixelbook to the dock, which connects via DisplayPort I can only get 4K@30Hz. Tested the dock with a Windows PC and can get 4K@60Hz with the same cables. Ankers site says to get 4K@60Hz the computer needs to support DisplayPort 1.4 and I can’t find any documentation about whether the Pixelbook does, anyone know? I find it odd that one can by a USB-C to DisplayPort cable that supposedly does 4K@60Hz, I can’t imagine the cable has firmware.

It doesn't appear to work on phones on AT&T. I don't see a Carriers app in Google Play. I do see Google Connectivity Services. When I go in to Chat Features I see a message saying my carrier doesn't support this feature.

Why would they manufacture some models with a backlit keyboard and others without. Something doesn't seem right about this.

I was just to ask whether the keyboard is backlit because the one I saw at a Best Buy didn't look to have one. For the price you pay, not having a backlit keyboard is a serious disappointment! I was leaning towards this device but may decided on the HP x360 14.

I have added the new Journalists list to my local instance of River5, v0.5.21. The feed loads, I browse through and find an item in the Dave Winer feed that I want to add to my linkblog on Radio3.io. I click the Share button on River5, Radio3.io loads but the input box is blank. No previous feed items appear The entry in the browser address bar is: http://radio3.io/?link=http...

I close the tab, load radio3.io directly and all the previously entered items appear. http://radio3.io/users/frankm/

What I expect is to load the item in to Radio3.io to add to my link blog. Other feed items correctly load so that I can add them.

Something appears to be causing Radio3.io to treat the link passed in the address bar differently.

I think I am in this trial and I think this is old information. As I understand it, the Phase II trial identified above has been stopped or didnt' go to Phase iII because the erlotinib + gemcitabine was not effective. I am randomized to Arm 1 of the Phase III trial.

Looks like you are right, but I am unsure how to fix. I am using the callback script provided here:

In comments within the script it states:
// Callback receives relpath, body, type and screenName as globals

Is it possible that type for status center html is being set to text/plain rather than text/html in S3 Properties/Meta. All of the html content generated in 1999 has the right content type while the HTML being generated in LO is going up as text/plain. This is affecting listicles and status centers.

For what it's worth, the OPML files the call sends to S3 have text/xml for content type.

If memory serves, at one time you considered adding the ability manage feeds right within River5. I am now using LO to manage my feeds, perhaps the Subscribe to OPML feature is what you describe above for distribution?

I have a callback script that copies content from my 1999 server to a S3 bucket that I access at http://writing.frankmcphers.... The OPML and HTML file for the status center is copying to the bucket, but for some reason when you load the status center page on the S3 you see the HTML source rather than the rendered page, and I haven't been able to figure out why. Does File, Subscribe to outline work? I thought I would try it with your aclu.opml but it doesn't seem to do anything, so I did an Import OPML instead.

I found that the comment attribute works in preventing a parent and child nodes from appearing. I was wondering whether the collapse attribute (http://fargo.io/blog/2014/0... was available, but unless I am forgetting the proper value (I think it is true/false) it doesn't look so.

If you are creating a Status Center outline and you want to prevent certain items from appearing you can comment out the node.

I successfully copied the scripts I have in Fargo to LO2. I do have a couple of Export scripts that use the file verb. Basically, they take an outline, convert to HTML, and in Fargo writes the new file to Dropbox and then opens the new file in a new window. I guess an approach would be to write to local storage, so I will investigate that. Thanks for adding the Script functionality, once I get exporting working it will enable me to use LO2 as a text editor.

Looks good in Chrome on my Android tablet. The hamburger menu on the home page works now, it didn't with the initial release. One observation about the home menu is that there is no visible site title so you don't really know what site your are reading.

Currently, the entire web page that contains an outline scrolls when you scroll down and that includes the buttons on the left side of the page. When I use LO to edit my RSS subscription list, which is pretty long, I have to scroll up away from a new item at the bottom in order to click the suitcase to edit the attributes. In comparison, in Fargo, the buttons on the left side of the page remain in place when you scroll up or down within an outline. Can the LO buttons be made to stay in place like they do in Fargo? (If Fargo's Outliner, Add Feed option were added to LO, that would make it easier to manage RSS subscription lists.)

Will you consider integrating Radio3 with 1999? Now that I am doing more of my writing in 1999 I would like to consolidate my link blogging with my other writing. By integrating I mean adding 1999 as an option to send link posts to like you have for Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress and Slack.

I bought the original Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter to connect my Surface 3 with an HP EliteDisplay and found performance to be so slow I gave up trying to use the adapter. Perhaps the issue is with my expectations, I was hoping for the adapter to be a full replacement for cable, but Rafael's chart shows it is nearly 3x worse (83.16) than an HDMI cable (32). Don't we really want it to be nearly at HDMI cable latency?

Another issue I had, and it may be user misunderstanding on my part, is that it doesn't seem two work point to point, the adapter has to be on the same WiFi network as the source computing device, which makes it difficult to use in corporate settings. This is probably a spec issue unless I don't understand something.

There are also conflicts with using Bluetooth devices therefore preventing the idea of using the Surface 3 with all wireless peripherals. Personally, I wish Microsoft just added Chromecast support to Windows 10.
