I read this one recently, too. It had been a long time since I didn't put a book down. I was truly gripped for a period of hours until the book was closed.

I'm not sure if this is accurate to you, but it's strange the similarities that can resonate with people. . .

it's strange the things you think of...

When I was a kid, really young, you know, my family would have extended family to our home on Sunday afternoons. I usually played by myself, making up imaginary story-lines and places, and inhabiting these places and the characters all on my own. But on Sunday, I was blessed with the assistance of my cousins and neighbor kids in these constructs, played-out in the woods, in trees, in my room, over the well, down by the lake, the barn. . . . and, in the evening, they left.

Sunday evenings then held for me a listless, even vacuous feeling, where I went about with a slightly heavy feeling, picking up toys, feeling the absence of all of their energies, the sudden loudness of the wooden toy-box lid, my footsteps, probably dragging slightly, pining vaguely sad and melancholic before I was old enough to be aware of the emotions themselves and know why.

Sounds like you might be having a Sunday like that. . . .

We'll see if this Tom Crean helps I.U. a little more than he helped Marquette. Hope so. It would help me to see him throw something. . . like a chair . . . maybe say "fuck" during a press conference or something.

A funny side-note is that Baldwin is a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, the secessionist group that Palin is getting so much shit about being involved with! What a tangled political web we weave. . . . . . . .
