It's on the wrist of someone typing on a laptop. The focus is on the Legacy and while the screen is blurred, you can tell they're coding something. He must be in a coffee shop as you can hear talking, an occasional laugh, and the clang of dishes off in the distance. Character after character, code after code, he's typing. Then, he looks at his watch and closes the laptop.

He picks up the laptop and exits. We don't see his face, we just see a closeup of the watch. He's walking down the street. It's crowded. He crosses and when he gets to the other side, you hear people greeting him.

There are a lot of people in line but he walks past, straight to the front. This man doesn't wait in lines. The line waits for him. He walks into the building and you hear more people greeting. Someone wanted a photo, so he paused his pace. The Legacy will look good in that photo.

You hear him ask if they got the watch in the photo. They said yes, and he asked them to send it to him. They excitedly said "Yes, of course!"

He get's back to his pace. You can see there's a lot of people there and they're all moving into a big room. He goes into a door, and we follow the watch as he heads back stage. There is a big roar of applause and he doesn't miss a beat, just keeps walking at the same pace, right onto the stage.

Now the camera pulls back from just focusing on the watch and we see the man for the first time. He's on stage, in front of over a thousand people standing and clapping. Behind him is a big screen with one word, "Legacy". He is all smiles and raises his hand motioning thank you to the audience to take their seats. As it slowly starts to fade out we zoom back to the Gavox Legacy.

Be the Legacy

Michael S. It looks like Facebook wants you to pay for engagement and reach instead of getting it naturally. Changing the algorithm to make this happen isn't natural, it's not organic.
Being a public company, they have a fiduciary responsibility to the share holders. Problem, when things become about money, you lose sight of the bigger picture and not how your decisions effect your users.

Michael S. Social Media is about building relationships by you do really have to watch what people are saying about you.

One of the tools I use is http://TweetBeep.com

Michael S. As a filmmaker, this was very poorly done. The music, mood, and underlying "what the hell happened that they haven't been talking for who knows how long or what the hell happened period"

The thing is... the two characters are uncomfortable meeting, talking, whatever... and THAT is the feeling it portrays to the audience.... come to Swiss Chalet and you can feel uncomfortably awkward too.

I mean, the "It's Rudolph, remember?" line seemed forced, fake and not real...

Was this dad away for 15 years at a prison up there and he only had interaction with his kid when they were 4?

Pull the commercial, NOW!

Michael S. I mean I follow someone on Twitter and the first interaction with them, their first impression is: "Thanks for the Follow! I put a rock in a box for you, buy it before it dies! LINK"
COME ON PEOPLE... That's really the quickest way to get an unfollow. #fail!

I actually made a video about this a little while ago "How NOT to be social" http://bit.ly/2YDzX5 [Comedy]

Michael S. I created a motivational presentation, at least the beginning of one the other day.
the theme of it was that people are inhibited by fear. Fear of taking a step. feat of taking a breath. fear of love. fear of doing what you love. fear of helping others. fear of being successful.

If what you have, or know can help people, then it's UnAmerican to not help them. Do what you do best, people wiill love you for it.

Always remember... Patience is a virtue!

Michael S. Product placement is big business. Indie filmmakers actually look at it as a source of funding their films, but I personally think this may have gone too far.

Was the name just a coincidence? Doubtful.

The other thing here is this: "And something about her name faintly ‘rung a bell.’"

Rang a bell?

Michael S. I mean isn't that the definition?
I didn't sign up and give you my email address, so why the hell are you emailing me something I don't want to know about, don't care about, don't think about.
I just delete it.
The thing is, without an address and optout instructions, that's a violation.

So this guy, no matter how many people have Knighted him, needs to read the idiots guide to can-spam. Or maybe just read this: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/cons...

What we have here is a failure to communicate following the rules. Similar laws like CanSpam have been enacted across the globe.

And tomorrow on Oprah: "He was a former PR man, getting guests on to places like Oprah. He was a keynote speaker. But there was a dark side to his methods. Every email he sent was illegal winding him in jail with a huge fine. We'll find out his fine and what he has to say to businesses tomorrow, on Oprah!"

Michael S. Many of the emails these days aren't totally personalized including a name anyway. Instead of "Hello {firstname_fix!}" I just say "Hello there".
It's what I say to people offline, so why not say it online. I'm still meeting/greeting/communicating with them. Why should it be different?

Woa... had to take a deep breath there before I went off on a rant. Ok..
