How terrible, someone get a bakesale on this cause!
Oh wait, that's us. Ok, one of our beneficiaries for the June 26th East Bay Vegan Bakesale will be the Berkeley Humane Society!

We live with a companion kitty who was adopted from here, and it's tragic to hear of something like this happening. Please foster if you're able to, everyone!

Thank you thank you for posting about the East Bay Vegan Bakesale and also HOLY SHIT $4200 is INCREDIBLE!!!!! And the bakesale and everyone involved yesterday were so wonderful as expected. Total bliss.

I'm so, so stoked that two of the cats got adopted!

Also, we finished the last of our bakesale treats last night. There was so much good stuff it took a few days to get through all we'd bought. Ugh.

Howard Lyman, totally on the level. My dad and I went out to brunch at Follow Your Heart in LA when I was probably 15 and newly vegan (before Vegan Gourmet 'cheese' existed! Back in the day, for serious) with Howard and his wife, and he was the nicest ever.
Everyone read his book.
And maybe go to speed dating too, or not.

Oh man! I went there yesterday for lunch, inspired by this post, and I have to say, it kind of changed my life. I work right nearby and picked up 4 of these for coworkers and, despite them fucking up my order and me massively going over my allotted lunch time, it was worth it.
